Here's a quick 'How To' use our system of pop-up Bible references which are done automatically when a Bible reference is detected, courtesy of Reftagger. Bible Versions Our default translation is the King James Version. This was deemed the most popular version to use on this site via a poll taken. If you wish to reference a different version, type the version abbreviation in parentheses after the reference, for example John 3:16 (ESV). The conventional abbreviations are used, and supported versions are: Amplified Bible (AMP), American Standard Version (ASV), Darby (DR), English Standard Version (ESV), God's Word (GW), Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB), King James Version (KJV), Lexham English Bible (LEB), The Message (MESSAGE), New American Standard Bible (NASB), New Century Version (NCV), New International Version (NIV), New International Reader's Version (NIRV), New King James Version (NKJV), New Living Translation (NLT), Douay-Rheims (DOUAYRHEIMS) and Young's Literal Version (YLT).
