Sydney's sub-tropical, so I'm used to 80% + humidiby, but sure, beaches are awesome! :thumb

and you guys down under are also a bit more relaxed about beach stuff, too, than North Americans tend to be.

Yeah I'd say you could compare our weather to Florida

Central Israel..........80*, light breeze, humidity about 60%, partly sunny.

When i was at the gym on the beach this morning about 7am working out, there was a woman playing with her toddler just down the beach from the gym.
She was holding him by his hands, as he is just beginning to walk, and she had him in the sea about thigh deep.
Very mild waves...
He was having so much fun he was laughing like a maniac.
I was standing in the gym about 200 feet away transfixed and smiling hugely at him while i was listening to him laugh and laugh and laugh.
Many people in the outdoor gym are working out all around me, everyone straining on a machine, focused..... while im standing there in the middle of them all motionless for about 5 mins just soaking in the baby's joy.
No one there seemed to hear the laughter except for me...
A babies laugh is an infectious disease that everyone needs to catch.
God created the laugh in a baby.
Its one of his best designs...

It's 6:30am here in central Minnesota, US, 61 degrees F. (16 C.), fair skies, 70% humidity, and light winds. Expecting mostly sunny skies today, light winds, temps in the mid 80's (30 C.), and humidity dropping to about 43%. Should be quite comfortable. Typical late spring to early summer weather. I should be out fishing! Now I'm depressed.

Sounds like here Dorothy(thats a good name for a Kansas girl:)). 108 today. Its almost 10:00 PM and its 91 still. Glad the sun went down and it started cooling off.

I'm still looking for the yellow brick road. There are plenty of red brick roads, but no yellow brick. I think I hear a dog barking......but it doesn't sound like Toto.
No scarecrow in the corn field, the only cats are domestic...no lions...and ...no tin man...plenty of scrap metal around.

The current temp is 73 degrees at 7:30 a.m. with a prediction of a mere 110 degrees. I hope the chickens don't get fried by all this heat. :eeeekkk

:grumpy HOT ... VERY HOT :grumpy

It is suppose to be about 100 - 104 so we will have to wait & see what happens and so I am staying inside w/ my friend A / C today so we will go out to check the mail and also on the cat and make sure that she has water that is it 4 me !!!

Get your knife and fork ready!

When I travel around the US and get to talking with southerners about the weather, the discussion almost always comes around to the cold in MN winters. When I share what it was like growing up in northeastern MN on the iron range where we have the record cold in our state (-61 F. air temperature with wind chills approaching -100 F.) they always ask the same question. How do you take the cold?

My response is always the same. You know, no matter how cold it gets up here I can always stay warm by adding clothing and activity. I worked in the logging business for a number of years and it was surprising how little added clothing one needs when he is active even at temperatures below -40 F. and wind chills in the -60 degree range. However, there is nothing that can prepare me for what I have experienced in places like South Carolina or Alabama during the months of July or August. I remember looking out the door of my hotel room at 6:00am with the sun shining and a light breeze shaking the leaves and thinking, "What a beautiful day." Then I open the door to step outside and just about pass out from the heat and humidity and there's nothing I can do to get away from it. I could strip naked and hide in the shade and that won't provide relief. I can't even begin to think about doing anything active outside without risking heat stroke. I'll take the cold any day over the heat.

Hot in Ohio.... I hear you ....:chin

ha ha! Well, I gave it the old College try :wave

Since we are talking about the weather, as you may know I bought a new radiator for the Camaro and fabricated my own fan shroud. The original design was too restrictive while cruising the freeway and I was overheating (210 degrees) while cruising at 60 mph, but I could sit in traffic all day and never get above 180.. Well, I finished the modification and got it installed last night. I'm really, really glad that it's in the 90's today because this will be a great test for the Camaro tonight to see if the modifications will keep the car cool at highway speeds while maintaining it's ability to keep the engine cool while stuck in traffic.

The Washington, DC area has been experiencing a heat wave the past few days. 90 plus. Thank God for AC and Ice-T

i live in Tennessee and the temperatures havent gotten below 95.
im going on a cruise to the Bahamas im sure that will be super hot as well

Let's see.... here in the Midwest, it's a balmy and sunny 96°F .... thankfully, with the heat index, it only feels like it's 102°F.

The UV Index: Very High .... but, hey, the humidity level is only at 44 %.

The Wind is from the SW at 15 mph, gusting to 23.

Forecast for this afternoon: over 100, with heat index about 110.

Ah, the rapturing joys of central air conditioning!

:wave

Today here in beautiful NW Pennsylvania it is a balmy 94'o with a slight wind coming out of the South, no wait the North, oops the West, ah come on the East! OK, I live on a hill so the wind changes direction all the time, :biggrin. No rain in sight so will be a great weekend at camp foreseeing floating down the Allegheny River on our rafts to cool off.

Could use some rain as it has been pretty dry and being on well water one has to watch the usage during the drought times.

one of those precious gifts from God is the innocent laughter of a child that becomes infectious in ones self :lol
