Let's see.... here in the Midwest, it's a balmy and sunny 96°F .... thankfully, with the heat index, it only feels like it's 102°F.

The UV Index: Very High .... but, hey, the humidity level is only at 44 %.

The Wind is from the SW at 15 mph, gusting to 23.

Forecast for this afternoon: over 100, with heat index about 110.

Ah, the rapturing joys of central air conditioning!

:wave

AD:

Oh yes, the A/C ... :)

I grew up without a.c., Farouk ... but then, as kids, we spent most afternoons at the pool, so the heat didn't bother us.

Those days are long behind me .... now I have to have a.c. .... and spending time in the pool is typically a morning or night event.

Interesting how our lives change as we age............

AD: Yes, good old fashioned water; I like the ideas of families growing up almost 'in the pool'.

Blessings.

Today it was 108 degrees with 19% humidity. Not even my 460 air conditioning worked (4 windows rolled down at 60 mph). And I'm not kidding.

I was told if it hit 107 it would be the all time highest temp ever in this state.

try 90 degrees with 99% humidity and that isnt today but not uncommon.
No thanks. Been there, done that. I lived in Florida for twenty years. You couldn't pay me to go back to Florida.

I've got Michigan running in my veins, and anything close to it makes me feel right at home. Which is why I'm pining for the fall weather to get here.

i may retire to a colder climate but then again i dont care for the days of snowing and being stuck in that home.

That's why you become a 'half backer'.

You don't move all the way back up north but somewhere inbetweenst where you still have wonderful seasons, but no harsh winters, and no depressing times between the end of winter and the beginning of spring.

(I'm still having a hard time remembering I'm talking to you and not your wife in the pic, lol.)

Well, it's going to be 91 today...

Hot for us, but not overly hot. I'm glad for the weather because today is the day of the Community Picnic that is a fundraiser for Relay for Life... and I'm the one who organizes this puppy. There's nothing worse than being an organizer of one of these things because so many things can go wrong, including the weather. But, the weather will be beautiful today, so I'm glad.

Tomorrow, after we get everything cleaned up... I'll be hoping for some rain.

that isnt my wife! thats her daughter! the baby is my step-grandchild. lol. women in my church do the same.

Oh...lol, my mistake.

Well, anyway I have to remind myself that I'm not talking to her when I respond to one of your posts.
she isnt into politics nor blogging. she lives with me. you would know it clearly if she was posting. she is less knowledgeable on the bible and also politics.
