I've been meaning to ask this all week...

If it's a hundred in the shade, and there ain't no shade...how do they know it's a hundred in the shade?

Ha, and I'm the closest to set it up lol!

We'll, all I can say is our thermometer is on our nfront porch... and our porch was in the shade lol!

The camaro, now that's a different beast! I didn't put insulastion board down before putting carpet down and all that heat from the engine comes right into the cab.

Does anyone remember burning their legs on a hot vinyl seat or having their back stuck to the seat lol! Ahhh, its like being 16 again... except with money for gas!

Half frozen: 64 isn't too bad! But you don't play football in the rain.. we do!

Nope: no football during cloudbursts.

We only play when the sun is smiling. And the sun looks like a football. :lol

Oh, yeah.

And you just don't ever forget the smell of the hot vinyl interior of a 60's or '70's automobile. I've been looking around for a pic of my '74 SS NOVA with black interior to post here. I can still remember the smell, and the Hurst shifter sticking out of the floor board...

Then that velvety fabric got popular in cars. It had it's own distinct smell...kind of like an old bed. But easy to sit on in the heat of summer.

Hot here still. :sad

Due to the drought conditions, they have banned all fireworks.

The wheat harvest was about three weeks earlier than usual this year.

They are predicting it will be a little cooler next week. I hope so. :yes

Its a very nice day at the beach! Water is great!

I am sick of the heat and humidity in Wisconsin. It's been mid 90s to low 100s for days now. The heat index is dangerously high and will top out at around 110 today. Tomorrow the cool down comes and we will be back where we should be in the 80s. I know some people in other places of the country are use to that, but we aren't here at all!!

My 4th of July plans were cancelled and spent indoors on the couch. Too hot to venture outside even with the sun down. Been like this for a couple weeks now. My son is going nuts being cooped inside all day. So he's had a lot of pent up energy. We go outside just before the sun comes out over the trees and just before bedtime at night, still very warm at least we won't burn to death!! So this is how it feels to be a vampire lol :)

lmw:

Hi; so are you anywhere near Lakes Superior or Michigan in your area of Wisonsin (no need to say exactly where...); it can often be a little breezy in a lakeside situation, anyway.

Depending on his age, a boy can behave quite differently, in relation to whether he understands about a heat-wave, I guess.

Blessings.
