I had some very exciting news that I just had to share for all of my friends on here who don't read the Foundation of Faith forum on a regular basis. On either April 8th, 15th, or 22nd 2018 I will officially be baptized! I am SO excited that I can hardly contain myself! :sohappyI will be posting updates on My Baptism Update thread in the Foundation of Faith. Right now we are looking at a full immersion. So yeah, the excitement inside me knowing that I will officially declare my love, faith, and commitment to Jesus Christ as I confess Him as my Lord and Savior on my special big day is really hard for me to contain right now so please forgive me for that. I literally can't wait!!!! :cross

You've already officially declared it to yourself and now it will be declared in all the world that you are His and He is yours. Excited for you sis :woot2 :sohappy :biggrin

I realize that you can't view this for_his_glory, but this song is the exact definition and the whole entire reason and purpose that I decided to get baptized. The lyrics are so powerful. "You're wanted, you're precious, you're the love of His heart, and the old rugged cross was for you!!" Praise the Lord!! :sohappy:amen

All I can say is that right now I can't even begin describe how extraordinarily happy that I feel right now. Knowing deep in my heart that I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior and that I am going to to Heaven because of it, and getting baptized to prove it, really makes my heart sing with joy. :cross

Hooray for my sister, HeIsRisen2018!! Is today the big day?

No, it's either the eight or the fifteenth. Hopefully I will find out this Sunday at church. But yes hopefully everybody here knows this about me by now. I really want to go to Heaven when I die and I want to be absolutely a hundred percent sure that I will. Besides an eternity with Christ is a lot better than an eternity without. :cross I found this video that I would like to share as well since I think it's really appropriate for the topic.

And just a couple of more videos witnessing the miracles of the Almighty God.

I can't wait until the day when Jesus calls my name and tells me to come forth. :sohappy

As the time for my Baptism grows closer I can't help but think about how excited I will be to go to Heaven and see Jesus face to face. :cross

Yes, very very happy for you. Baptism is an important step and something Christ commanded so that we show our faith publicly to others. There's also something about it that makes everything "definite" within. Can't explain why, but I believe the practice comes from the Jewish practice of immersing themselves in the Mikveh for purification before going to the temple, which for us is our own bodies (of the Holy Spirit) which is that of the Father and Son (Revelation 21). Do yourself an additional favor. Save the clothes that you were baptized in for keepsake, and also any program bulletin. You can also have others take pictures. This way you will have a tangible keepsake that yes, indeed, you made that confession to keep doubts away in the future. Now me, I was baptized in the river near my house here by the pastor and assistant, along with others who wanted baptism, and I was baptized in my old swimming trunks and a new T-shirt I bought for the occasion. Those I washed and hung up in my closet. Now, the old sneakers..... well, that was a bit much to save with the smelly mud from the Delaware river. LOL

Hey Tim thanks! I plan to keep them. I was just wondering something though, I'm really glad that you got baptized and I'm not questioning your faith here don't get me wrong, but why does it say that you're not a Christian? It sure sounds like you follow our beliefs to me.

I labeled myself that way due to "unorthodox beliefs". Like you, I believe in salvation by Christ alone. I don't think many people will argue that. But I have unconventional (albeit what I believe are biblical views) of the nature of God, the nature of man, I do not believe in the immortality of the soul, thus hell is a fire that destroys one completely. Nobody is there yet as the judgement did not take place. I do not believe our goal is heaven. Rather, when we die we will be resurrected one day (both good and bad eventually) when the Lord comes back to this earth. Thus I believe in the Kingdom of God here on this earth, and ultimately, a new heaven and new earth. So heaven actually comes to earth. That's not to say we won't have access to the heavenlies, but nobody is there now. When one dies, it's likened to a time machine where they are instantly in the future with everyone else in the resurrection. So the dead don't miss us, we miss them. I can imagine someone who died saying, "I just died, how did all you get here with me already?" So they are already in the resurrection from their stance, but not now in this time continuum. LOL I believe in Sabbath so Shabbat Shalom! I dislike Halloweens, Christmases, and Easters (Rather celebrate Passover) although I tag along with the family who needs their ham dinner. I don't eat the unclean meats so I buy a lamb for those who want it. In short, I follow after more Judaic values and beliefs like the early Christians and similar to the Church of God type beliefs, which I believe are basically the same as the Judaic values. What has been happening lately is as many Christians grow they want to go back to the biblical church and are learning that the first Christians have a lot of Judaic values in them being an extension. I'm still learning Hebrew and can read and write it (perhaps poorly but I can. LOL) I still being worked on by the Lord.

Oh I get it now. Actually I have an unorthodox belief as well. I believe that salvation was made possible through Christmas alone not by Christ alone and yes there is a difference. I believe that through the death and resurrection of Christ that God can save anybody He chooses not just Christians but by believing in Christ one will automatically be saved.

Yeah, back to the bible there's a hint he was born at the feast of Trumpets, some say Tabernacles but that's only mincing over 2 weeks so either way it's around that time. If you read some of my earlier posts, Revelation 12:1 seems indicative of an astronomical position in this prophecy of the birth of Christ. The Lord did everything by his "set times" in Leviticus 23. Then 33 1/2 years later he died to fulfill Passover. However, I will admit Revelation 12:1 has been over used ad nauseum with these end-time predictors. One or two people find something insightful in the bible then they all have to jump the band wagon with their theories.

Oh my gosh I think so far you're the very first person to hear my unorthodox beliefs and not try to argue with me about it. Thanks man, I really appreciate it. A lot of people don't know this but I actually do get my beliefs from the Bible as well as it specifically says if not judged by faith, judged by works alone. Romans 2:6. It's in there, it's just how you interpret it that counts.

Alright guys listen up! *places fingers in-between teeth and whistles loudly* I got an official date for my Baptism. On April 15th 2018 I will be officially and publically stating my beliefs in the Lord Jesus Christ. That's right the same morning the Titanic sunk. So at least there will be a new joyous reason to remember that day. The day when my whole entire life changed. I'm so excited about it! In a few short years I will be saying I do to the man I love, but for now on 4-15-18,.. I will be saying I do to Jesus. :cross I will be writing the new dates on my Baptism Update thread as well.

I was baptized on 9-11 and then we know that the WTC was hit. Hmmmmm. I guess we have to remember it's Satan who is sinking and falling instead of those innocent people.
