Hi questdriven

I pray that God will strengthen you and your family, that you know God is with you so you guys will be able to endure faithfully.

God is good,

- Davies

Dear Father, You have our lives in your hands, give us our breath, and sustain us in the way. I come to You this night asking for You to meet every need of this young saint's request. As You work in these lives have your perfect will be done as You deliver them to having Your very best for them. Thank You Father, and I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

One of my friends really needs prayers...I won't say what's going on with her because I'm not sure if she'd want me to. She told me not to worry, but after what she's told me I can't help but worry. She's my best friend and I just want to help her as much as I can.

Also, our truck broke down yesterday. We had to have it towed home. Took it to one shop and they wouldn't even look at it. My mom's taking it somewhere else now.
We absolutely need that truck. We can't afford another vehicle.

Update: Yeah, the truck's gone.

Being fixed? I hope it works out for you guys.

So do you drive the truck, too?

Blessings.
Can't be fixed.

I never drove it. Didn't get a driver's license, or even a learner's permit yet. I'm thinking I should have gotten one once I was able, though. Would have made some things easier on my mom.

Oh, sorry.

In the long run it would be good if you could drive, I'm sure.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for listening to our prayers and we believe in Your power and Your might. You know the situation questdriven and her family are going through and cast it into Your hands. I also pray for a mode of transportation for her family. LORD Jesus, I also pray for her friend, whatever the problem might be we trust in You and give it to You. Please let them experience Your presence and comfort them during this difficult time in their lives.

In Jesus Name.
Amen.

The awesome news is we've as good as got a car now! My uncle is good at finding good deals and found us one. It needs a few things, like a new battery, but it's a good car.
So, yeah, an answer to prayer. :)

Amen!

A new battery (and a few other things) costs nothing in comparison to a new car or truck.

Congrats on the 'new' wheels!

My dad seems to be doing pretty good. Whatever meds they're giving him must be affecting his mind, though, because he's saying things like he had a tumor and had to have surgery to get it out, and the doctors are telling us that isn't true.. He seems to be in his right mind otherwise, though. Hm.

We'll be visiting him again on Monday.

Right now, my dad is in the CCU, on a breathing machine, with sepsis and UTI, and low blood pressure.
I've gotten rather used to my dad having to be in the hospital a lot, but...well, there is a possibility he might not make it this time. And I'm scared.

You, your dad & your family are in my heart-felt prayers, Questdriven. I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's current condition.

It's challenging enough at any time to have a loved one in the hospital...it's even more challenging when it's Christmas and your loved one isn't doing well.

When next you're able to be with him, hold his hand and talk with him about your favorite memories of Christmas, and of those special times when it was just him & you. Those memories will bring a smile to you, which will help your dad.... and your dad will appreciate hearing of some of the joys in your life (a lot of us parents love hearing those stories!)

God bless you & your family!

Thinking and praying for you and your family.

:pray

Turns out he has a lot of problems we didn't even know about, and we're probably going to just have them take him off the breathing machine. He said before he didn't want to have to live on a machine long term, and he's only suffering right now. He can't get surgery or dialysis because of his blood pressure.

Keep praying; I am, as well.

They're not going to take my dad off the breathing machine after all. My family and relatives were talking about it this morning is if it was almost a sure thing, but when they went and visited they were told that my dad said that he wanted to live. That's some good news at least.

Got a phone call from the hospital this morning about my dad and we went to see him today. He seemed barely conscious, if at all. I don't think he's really been awake since he's been in the CCU. We had them take him off life support today, the doctor thinks that keeping him on it now would only make him suffer more than necessary. There's no quality of life there.
