not sure how this works. My question is:
Is there a problem with Christians watching regular TV? I mean shows and movies that are not christian based.

Hi Brother kenny g, and welcome.
1Co 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
What this says to me is that even though we’re in Christ, and we’re not held accountable or judged, it’s neither good or bad, but what effect does have on our lives?

If we go a bit further in 1 Cor 10:24-28 the context shows that it has to do with our conscience, and even more so with someone else’s conscience that may be led to do something they see us do, and harms them.

There’s much on TV I no longer watch, especially with programming that promotes sin above the occasional faux pas. How can such things affect us? Fellowship with our God is subject to our willingness to walk with Him, and its great reward knows that when we go to Him He hears us. If I’m ashamed of my conduct I compare it to a child that has broken something, thinks the parent knows , and is afraid to approach them.
Blessings in Christ Jesus. :wave2
