According to the Apostle to the GENTILES and in this context... it's IGNORING the mystery pertaining to ISRAEL.
So please explain what you think "the mystery" is.

This is what I believe the mystery is in part.....
Romans 11 KJV
30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
32For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Who told you that the nation of Israel shall be saved by animal sacrifices ?

What do you believe about How Israel will come to believe?
What do you believe about the 1000 reign?

The Apostle to the GENTILES tells us plainly what the mystery IS...

That ISRAEL is blinded in part until the fulness of the GENTILES be come in.

That IS the mystery.

Who told you that the nation of Israel shall be saved by animal sacrifices ?

Hence my definition of a troll...

One that could care less about the scriptures presented and completely ignores them, and then makes obscure comments unrelated to the presented scriptures.

At least it's in their own forum... which I no longer am going to participate in.

Enjoy the nonsense.

that wasn't a troll. that is a fact. you really don't know anything about jews. I do. why? because:
1)by birth
2) by the fact that I have laid to rest my grandparents and took it upon myself to learn why grandparents did what they did.

isreal if it is the way you say then need not be any land mass. that is the point im making. you have said that isreal is save by the blood.ok im biologically of Abraham's seed and yet you have argued that the church(which I attend and im a part of is different) then isreal. that somehow paul meant one body, one faith and so forth was for the church not isreal. paul is a jew., where will he be in the rapture? with the jews or the church? if you say the jews. I am kin to him, YOU an African American are NOT. therefore you will not be with him. if you say the church then both of us will be with him.

paul wasn't a gentile by NO means and he believed. so was much of he early church!

I should post the graves of my family and what it says in Hebrew and what the means to them.whenever a jew is buried the put son or daughter of isreal and this done so that the moshiac can find them so that they will be raised in isreal.

for the record, my HERITIAGE when I study it points me to JESUS as it was intended too. the more I read the ramban and other things of the ancient oral traditions I learn why jesus dammed the jewish leadership. they KNEW when he would come and had a lot to say on what the messiah would do. the blinded themselves when they refused to believe.

the sages:

when the messiah would come he would give out bread, when he comes judiasm will be in disarray, he will restore the torah
all said in the Talmud before He was born.of course it wasn't written.

I would have to look at that quote in depth. post the source and lets discuss this. but remember the jews recite the torah and that is then later quoted in the bar and bat mitzvahs. they don't water down lessons on the torah like we Christians do.
I thought you were responding to post #183.

The list I used is from the writings of Rambam.

interesting rambam is the one the jews often don't like for his mixing of greek thinking with the torah. ramban is the one I read. for an anti-Christ he did have a lot to reveal about the torah and also how it pointed to the messiah and sadly died never believing nor seeing how close he was in his mitzvot to the moshiac.

I would not characterize Ramban as an anti-Christ. It is tricky, but I don't think the negative conotation that word has assumed directly applies, nor do I believe the original meaning applies.

uhm. he was a jewish apologist who wrote a book on that explained how jesus wasn't the jewish messiah. isn't that EXACTLY what john called the antichrist? who is an anti-Christ he that denieth that jesus came and died on the cross and was raised from the dead.

ramban's views on the moshiac were different in parts at least the parts that I have read. he believed that while the torah did dwell in us during the messianic era the moshiac would be a man, not the son of god.

As I said, it is tricky. The four verses in which antichrist is used can be interpreted such that they don't point to Ramban as an antichrist, but at worst call him a liar, at better blind, at best one-eyed. So I am being generous.

Its not tricky. seldom does satan make men really like the movie portrayal of the ac or the way Christians today mention them. our neighbors who often do good things for another and DENY jesus knowingly after hearing about him aren't so bad that we must well treat them like a hitler or et all but they will NOT be in heaven.

the worst lies of the devil is the half-truths. remember the local uu and the local Christ conscience types often are really nice people but are the most deceived. I know I worked with the later and also know a lot of them here.

from raban's on words. this is still told to me today and also said by jews TODAY.
Nahmanides went on to show that the Biblical prophets regarded the future messiah as a human, a person of flesh and blood, and not as a divinity, in the way that Christians view Jesus. He noted that their promises of a reign of universal peace and justice had not yet been fulfilled. On the contrary, since the appearance of Jesus, the world had been filled with violence and injustice, and among all denominations the Christians were the most warlike.
"[... it seems most strange that... ] the Creator of Heaven and Earth resorted to the womb of a certain Jewish lady, grew there for nine months and was born as an infant, and afterwards grew up and was betrayed into the hands of his enemies who sentenced him to death and executed him, and that afterwards... he came to life and returned to his original place. The mind of a Jew, or any other person, simply cannot tolerate these assertions. You have listened all your life to the priests who have filled your brain and the marrow of your bones with this doctrine, and it has settled into you because of that accustomed habit. [I would argue that if you were hearing these ideas for the first time, now, as a grown adult], you would never accept them."He noted that questions of the Messiah are of less dogmatic importance to Jews than most Christians imagine. The reason given by him for this bold statement is that it is more meritorious for the Jews to observe the precepts under a Christian ruler, while in exile and suffering humiliation and abuse, than under the rule of the Messiah, when every one would perforce act in accordance with the Law.
As the disputation turned in favor of Nahmanides, the Jews of Barcelona, fearing the resentment of the Dominicans, entreated him to discontinue; but the King, whom Nahmanides had acquainted with the apprehensions of the Jews, desired him to proceed. The controversy was therefore resumed, and concluded in a complete victory for Nahmanides, who was dismissed by the King with a gift of three hundred gold pieces as a mark of his respect. The King remarked that he had never encountered a man who, while yet being wrong, argued so well for his position.

Israel IS:
King Jesus and his JEWISH followers, with Gentiles grafted in.

Israel is NOT:
1)Christ rejectors of any stripe, anywhere.
2)A patch of Dirt in Palestine
3)The multi-ethnic Secular Democracy that currently, forcibly occupies said patch of dirt in Palestine.

Which one of these is the descendant of Abraham?

Which one of these "Jews" are the people of the Promise?

Which one of these people does the "land" belong to?

Which one did God Give the land to?

Are all the Jews pictured above part of the same "Jewish Race"?

Which Jew pictured above is "Israel"?

Will the real "Heir" please step forward......

There is only one SEED (not seeds as in physical descent) of Abraham that counts - Christ. Galatians 3:16

There is no more Jews and Gentiles anymore in the Kingdom of God. Romans 2:28-29 (Colossians 2:11), Colossians 3:11, Galatians 3:26-29, Ephesians 2:14-16, and Ephesians 3:6.

There is only the Israel of God. Galatians 6:15-16.

Racially ethnic Israel was removed by Christ. Matthew 21:43, John 4:21-24, and John 18:36.

In fact, Judaism doesnt represent any ethnic or racial group but represents a religion.
