And that I'm also a descendant directly from it. XD :hysterical (In case you haven't noticed, this is just another one of my silly threads where anything goes. :tongue)

Since Jesus came to earth, that suggests that something singular is happening on earth. Something not happening on other planets.

Maybe earth is the only one that needs saving? Too many things that are unknown to have a conclusion for how the rest the the universe is going. However, I see how much life God created on earth, and I have a hard time believing that He wouldn't do that in other places in the universe too. It's just so big.

Yeah me neither but this is just meant to be a silly and joke thread. :tongue I just had finished consuming a great big bowl of cookie dough ice cream with brownies, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce before I posted it. Hence me at 1:52 :lol JohnDB can tell you that and I like the fact that he was basically like,... alrighty then. 0-0. :hystericalI think that his response was even funnier than my OP. And yes John boy, physically speaking I have recovered really well. Mentally I'm afraid I never will be because I don't have any marbles remember? :rofl2

Oh yeah and considering the fact that I'm a pseudo big sister now, it's only going to get worse because of the fact that spending time talking to her gets me even more wound up. :lol

He could but i don't believe He would - we are like a family to God and i don't see Him starting many families on different planets

when you have a lot of love you want your family all together

we all came from adam and eve - so we are really all one human family

True, good point. The way that I see it though is even though theveryone Bible doesn't say that God created life on other planets, it also doesn't say that He didn't.

On other forums where this comes up as a 'serious' thread !

I always post along the lines...
Contact has been made, language learnt/translated etc and the ET makes its statement to the assembled dignitries of Earth, " Tells us about Jesus!"
Imagine the confussion, costernation, embarrassment and shock.

I love c.s. Lewes's sci fi books.

I think it was Howard Storm that asked this very question to Jesus. The Lord told him that many other species existed on other worlds, all much more advanced than humans. He was even shown images of very strange beings. His sacrifice to our world was in fact a special save, apparently we needed the assist.

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. Colossians 1:19-20 New King James Version

lol - good one

I think there is intelligent life out there and that is why they have never come to visit earth.

Problem is there is no evidence that there is life out there.

The planets detected sofar are totally hostile to life.

There is no such thing as stealth in space.
The Space Shuttle's much weaker main engines could be detected past the orbit of Pluto. The Space Shuttle's manoeuvering thrusters could be seen as far as the asteroid belt. And even a puny ship using ion drive to thrust at a measly 1/1000 of a g could be spotted at one astronomical unit.
As of 2013, the Voyager 1 space probe is about 18 billion kilometers away from Terra and its radio signal is a pathetic 20 watts (or about as dim as the light bulb in your refrigerator). But as faint as it is, the Green Bank telescope can pick it out from the background noise in one second flat.
This is with current off-the-shelf technology. Presumably future technology would be better.

What does this mean?

Any spaceship capable of traveling between stars will radiate so much heat it will be detectable many, many light years away.
That means any aliens zipping about the galaxcy will have given themselves away by the heat, radioactive and radio emissions.

Earth is unique in it's orbit by being mostly circular. Of the hundreds of planets of various sizes most have too oval of an orbit for water to be liquid. The distance from the sun we are at usually contains a gas giant like Jupiter or Saturn. Again issues with water and too much heat from the almost star.

We are alone in the universe.

They have found one planet that might have a decent size, orbit, and distance away from it's star. But it's so far away that the star is already burned out. We are viewing echoes of a dead world.

We are alone in the Galaxy.
