There seems to be a very interesting thread that is woven through not only this account but all the others. And that is a fixation on the dust that man lives in. The human flesh. This is not man. This is what man inhabits. This fixation on the flesh does not, will not, bring about a greater faith in God.

If there is any fixation on any dream, testimony, miracle, etc. the fixation, imo, is on Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, w/out Him we would not have a testimony.

No. The fixation is on the medical emergencies of the dust we live in.

Again, if we look to the Word of God. You will find no examples of healing taking on a form of this kind. Time and space would limit me, but just go over the known stories of healing that are recorded and read the accounts.

I believe in miracles. I believe in healing. I believe in people being raised from the dead.

The addition to, is really not an addition but a taking away. The focus is put on THIS life and not the life to come. We need to look no further than that of Hebrews 11 for some good wisdom concerning this.

Hbr 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.

The focus is not on this 'frail' life.

Hbr 11:37-40 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated-- of whom the world was not worthy--wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

Revelation also gives witness to us on the fact of this life being accounted as NOTHING.

Rev 12:11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.

Then to top it off, if one was to apply the letter to the Church of Laodicea to this generation we are in we find some very humbling testimony and stern instruction from the Lord. This all flies in the face of Cornelius' post.

Again, this is no offense, although I know its hard to keep from it. But its not meant toward him at all. Or anyone else.

The focus is conforming to the image of Christ, it is about what is coming in the Great Tribulation, it's a preperation. We need to prepare ourselves now for what is coming and surely you must understand this. We will be going through something that has never been upon this earth before nor will it ever be again, we can not just go through it without preparation and I believe C's testimony attests to this. It is nothing new, we all must know it's coming.

God is preparing us now, so we can survive the wilderness of the Great Tribulation and that is what his testimony is about, it is not about already on the other side.

It's about now!

Nathan, brother feel free to not believe this at all. Many will not believe this really happened, and that too is fine. I am not here to convince you that it was real. You have doubts, that is OK. You think it should have happened in a certain way, that too is fine. This is not the gospel, its just something that happened to me and I am retelling it exactly as it happened. It blessed some people and other have really taken offence in this testimony. Both are fine :)

Jesus too had a great need to set the physical bodies of God's people free from the curse. Even God through His Word is focusing on our mortal bodies as well.

Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

We first are saved in our spirit, then our soul and then lastly God is planning to save our mortal flesh and clothe it with immortality. Not only by and through the resurrection, but some will be changed while they are still alive.

1Co 15:54 But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Christians make a mistake to think that this life is just something that must pass so that we can die and then "live for ever" Our eternal life starts now. Our victory is now. Our healing is now. Our deliverance is now. Not one day in the sweet by and by.

No, no, no. Surviving the tribulation is not about a physical survival. It is about a spiritual survival. What we want to do is combine the two. I do understand the need to prepare for the tribulation. But its not going to be a testing of the physical nature of man, but of his hearts desire. In fact, the events that surround the tribulation are said to be horrific as it relates to the physical nature. So if having a 'super' natural faith is what enables us to be miraculously healed now, what will your faith be like when horrible things happen to you and do not seem to stop?

Is there any wonder why we read what the people who think they have faith, but do not, say when these things start happening to them?

The tribulation is as much a time of testing for us, as it is punishment for the wicked who will not repent. To say that it is only for the wicked is just not so. We are told, countless times, to not look to this life or the things in it(including our bodies made of dust), but to look to Christ. People will see the things happening around them, wonder why its happening, and rely on things THEY believe. Christ will be in us till the end of time. We will be led through this. This, right now, is not a time of 'fattening up' for the road ahead. There is a reason why Jesus prayed; "give us our bread, our daily bread".

Its not that I do not believe you. In fact, its quite the opposite. Satan comes as an angel of light. I take offense to the Biblical errancy of it, not you. But you specifically talk about the Word being the 'go to' for our faith. If this account does not line up with it, then is it not going against what you have said yourself?

Hi Nathan,
I hope you guys don't mind me jumping in here, but this comment about "not a time of fattening up" for the road ahead, I disagree with. We are told to grow in our faith and knowledge of Christ, God gives us our faith and grows it. There is a preparation time and that time is now, Jesus gives us what we need on a daily basis, but it also is built upon each of those days. If we simply stop reading the Word, growing in our faith, and knowledge, then we are not doing what we are supposed to be doing.
I'm thinking of the Laodecian church, they were lukewarm, not prepared at all.
We're are preparing now.

Again, I can only relate this as it happened. I cannot add anything to this that did not happen :) I know of other people that have had visions of the Lord too and they too did not fall down and worship. In fact one friend of mine has been to heaven twice and he leads a miraculous life . He has even been translated like Philip by the Lord from America to an Eastern block country to preach. (See how many will believe this ! ) One of the visits to heaven, he too saw the Father, spoke to Him and received his calling. Also not like John. The second time he spoke to Jesus and sat next to Him in His throne. Also receiving instruction on his ministry. I really do not know a more Godly and humble man that this, but he too did not fall down like John. Why? I really do not know. I cannot remember me having any thoughts of my own when I saw the Lord. I was not thinking "Oh my I am seeing Jesus !" I was totally in the moment and He was speaking and I was listening. I only spoke once and that is when He told me I have been there before.

I asked the Lord to confirm this for me and He did. He gave me those two scriptures to confirm to me that this was real. 2Co 13:1 ... At the mouth of two witnesses or three shall every word be established.

Romans 8:11 is completely out of context here. It deals with the flesh that was, and still is, affected by sin to continue wanting to sin. It is not talking about a broken arm or a bad spleen. He will give life, that is fruit that is in accordance with sanctification. If it were a matter of changing the habits of the flesh to be apart of the newness of the spirit why would Jesus have said this;

Mat 18:8-9 And if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into the eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into the hell of fire.

Why would He had not said to pray that it will be changed, or seek the promises of God so it does not sin anymore? Why? Because Jesus was not concerned with our flesh, but with who we are. A soul who has a 'habitation' in this flesh. If we want to claim healing and restoration for our soul, THAT is COMPLETELY Biblical.

NO, no, no. Our flesh will be SOWN in corruption, but be raised incorruptible. He is NOT saving our mortal flesh. Again 1Corinthians 15 is taken out of context.

1Cr 15:36-44 You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body. For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish......So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

This dust we live in is not going to be what we are in through eternity. Yes, we have eternal life waiting for us. And when He come we will receive this life, but not until then. What we have now is the "hope" of it. And hope that is seen is not hope at all.

1Pe 5:8-10 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Jud 1:20-21 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.

Rev 22:12-14 "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.

We have assurance that the promise is ours. Rock solid assurance. That assurance is found in faith. But what concerns me is that you take the faith of eternal life and apply it to that of mortal life.

Our victory is now. Our healing is now. Our deliverance is now.

Yes. It is. But it is for US and not our bodies. We are a soul with a body. Not a body with a soul. The victory is over sin. Sin is something that takes place in us, not the fruit that we see in the flesh. The healing is over what the sin nature has done to our hearts. We are healed and given a new heart, one that desires to obey God. Our deliverance is over sin. We are delivered from the slavery of sin, the slavery of the soul to desire evil things.

These things find their fruit in the flesh. That is where we see the outcome of sin. But sin, what Christ came to free us from, is found in the soul of man. Which is completely separate from his flesh/dust.

We're are preparing now.

I do not mind at all. Again. This is nothing 'personal', even though I understand it can seem like it. We are not dealing with flesh and blood here.

We are most assuredly to refrain from fattening up. Fattening up is NEVER a Biblical principle. Yes. We should grow. Growing is a day by day process. It is not a fattening process. Those who enter the tribulation of the last days will be taken care of. There is NO need to fatten up.

How will they be taken care of? In a physical way? To an extent they will be taken care of in a physical way. But we also know that there will be many killed for their testimony and obedience to God. That is why it is called the patience of the saints. It requires patience, so that when it is done they may receive the eternal reward.

Your right. We need not to stop reading the word. It is our source of faith. It, is our source of faith. He, is our source of faith. We must not rely on anything that comes from our physical self.

I have stated what I believe according to what I have read. I am not adding anything to it. I am also not going to debate it, that is unprofitable . Some people cannot believe that Jesus could actually have bought healing for their bodies.

I can understand this view, when some are faced with some situation in their physical body that seems to them to be something that God cannot heal. Like a missing arm or leg. But we are not called to trust in what we see, we are called to trust the Word.

Even with a missing leg, you are still being called upon to have faith in the Word and not look to the reality of your leg.

Again, I can only relate this as it happened. Only God can help. I must leave it in His hands.

Ha Nathan, I did not say we SHOULD stop reading the Word, I meant that IF we did, we would be in big trouble, sorry about that confusion. There is NO WAY I will ever stop reading the Word!

God will take care of us physically, too, He has already healed us, He will provide us with food and water, He promises ALL of our needs are met. When we go into the wildnerness, brother, and you can not buy and sell and He gives you food, that is a physical need you will have and He will meet it. If you get sick, well, you can't buy medical care or medicine, we will rely on Him for this.

He meets ALL of our needs - physically and spiritually.

He helped :) Joh 19:30 ... he said, It is finished:......

Psa 22:31 ...... he hath done it.

That is why its called the ..Good news.

It is called the Good news because we are saved from the penalty of death, and given righteousness. It is also the Good news because when He finished it, we are able to live holy and righteous lives before Him through the power of the Spirit that dwells in us.

You are contaminating this purity with things of the flesh.

Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, To those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ:

May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith (not multiple ones, but one pure one) that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality(things of the flesh) and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day-- just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire(things of the flesh), serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones. But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, "The Lord rebuke you." But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively.

Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain(disobedience) and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error(fleshly desire) and perished in Korah's rebellion(desire to be something they were not called to be, and interestingly enough were swallowed whole by the earth).

These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever. It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him."

These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own sinful desires; they are loud-mouthed boasters, showing favoritism to gain advantage. But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, "In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions(fleshly desire)." It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Cornelius, I believe you. No doubt. But I only ask you to consider what it is that your saying. This life is vanity. Eternal life, the life to come when Jesus comes back, is where our mind's focus should be. If we would only put our eyes on Him, and not our own faith or lack of it as some would deem it.

dumb question.

which is more important?

enter hell whole and free of sickness

or heaven with some type of fraility

i choose the later as when we die(all do no matter what faith level one has) we dont keep this body of decay.

And if you find yourself without food. And one of your children die. Or your wife dies. Then, will you stay true to the commandment of God, and the faith of the Lord, and not take the mark so that you can just get one loaf of bread? If you see no physical assistance, will your faith still stand? If your mother or father die a slow agonizing death from a disease, will your faith still stand? Or will you receive the mark in order to get medical care? Are you prepared, in your faith, to watch your loved ones die a physical death?

He has promised to supply all our needs. The simple fact is that our needs are purely spiritual. He has supplied them, and will continue. There is no need to repair that which is dying, UNLESS it is for a specific purpose. Which I believe happens. But if He does not have a purpose then you must understand that He may very well allow your outer shell to waste away.
