Not sure if I posted a request or not...without going into too much detail we had some outgoing bills stolen out of our mailbox, someone started writing checks on our bank account...a real mess to say the least.
Our bank has been great about handling our money (no loss to us at all--wow) and a local police department is putting together a good case and making some arrests, etc. Turns out we weren't the only victims of this in our area.
God is evident in these events--we have prayed, been faithful and he yet again has been good to us. It's playing itself out quickly and relatively smoothly.
Keep praying for this to end soon, the bad guys to be brought to justice, for us to find the heart and patience to forgive them. For their hearts to seek goodness instead of breaking the law. For my wife to have strength and courage and reassurance over the next few weeks.
I also advise anyone that read this: mail bills only from the post office or a postal box. Amazing how much info you can get from someone's check. In fact, we even have a PO Box now--it's just too easy for someone to grab credit cards, tickets, financial stuff out of your regular mailbox.
