What a wonderful world it would he if that were the case. Then to me life would be worth living for, but to me it’s not. I live because Jesus gives me life. Which again is not really a choice because I would be gone in a HEARTBEAT. If I was asked or given a chance to say goodbye to people, I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t even want to look back. Just get me out of here lol. And it’s not cause I don’t love people, but I know there would be no goodbyes in the end when everyone is resurrected. I still don’t know if we actually are in the third heaven, but we are under the altarIf everyone believed that Jesus Christ is the messiah, would there still be suffering?
But He DID call us to be the preachers who take people the news of the power of the life-changing gospel.maybe there'd be less suffering, but I don't know. Plenty of wretched Christians out there, sadly enough. Mean spirited people from all religions, too. I don't know what that's about, honestly.
Maybe if Christianity was more widely accepted, we could have stronger families, less social disintegration, etc., but...then again...before the Civil War, there were plenty of "Christians" using The Bible to support owning other human beings. Some people have used Scripture to justify the oppression of women.
So...I don't know. Jesus never called us to change the world, not really. Light unto a dark and dying world, yes. Salt unto the earth, absolutely. The big "change" Christians make is -in- each of us, and its not even our own doing...its the gradual process of being conformed unto the image of Christ Jesus, so He can reach others thru us. "die to self daily," etc.
Interesting question. Oh, and...welcome to CFnet, btw.
Both the believing in Him and also the suffering for His sake (to varying percentages of His) has been granted to the elect:If everyone believed that Jesus Christ is the messiah, would there still be suffering?

Revelation 6:9-10
9When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?”
Not sure where under the altar is, I’m assuming it’s in the throne room?
