Why would you assume you are pointless scum? Non Theist world views operate differently from theistic world views because in Theistic world views meaning is drawn from an outside authority while in Naturalist world views draw meaning from individual or communal pursuits and inquiry. Calling yourself scum in a naturalistic world view makes no sense because you aren't nor ever were scum. You are a complex cellular being that experiences reality and came from a line of organisms that also experienced reality in various ways.

The difference between a naturalistic view and a theistic view is if there is whether or not there are super natural beings and difference on authority. That is it.

The point I was making is that the belief there is no Creator would make everything just a random accident and that can only make everything meaningless. There is no meaning to anything. I didnt mean I believed I was scum, I was just saying as in if life come from non life from a random meaningless accident and everyone was evolved to a higher order from slime or whatever one wants to call it.

It just doesnt make sense to me.

Behind a cause must be a cause. A cause can't just happen without something causing it, and if the universe/multiverse, or whatever one wants to believe had a start then it is impossible. Only something thats eternal could create the cause behind the event.

Questions of cosmology, ontology, and authority are only starting points, though they are foundational. Differences cascade from there.

How can anyone think the universe / multiverse had a start and there was nothing behind a cause that created the event. A cause happened from no cause. Absolutaly impossible. No cause created a cause. In the very very beginning start nothing casused something.

The materialistic, Darwinian model results in human value being of no more value and significance than a spot of scum on the street. Within such a model, supposed value of Human life is only personal and utilitarian. In a material-only universe there is no intrinsic, transcendent value to life. In such an imaginary universe, if all of life was extinguished tomorrow, then it would literally not matter--at all. Why would it matter? It is obvious, therefore, that with a material-only universe, life literally has no significance, meaning, or intrinsic value outside of a personal/utilitarian nature. Only if there is a God does human/non-human life have true significance, purpose, meaning, and intrinsic value. Such significance, purpose, meaning, and intrinsic value have their basis in God's life, character, attributes, purpose, plan, promises, creation, reward, judgment, righteous authority/consummated victory, and last, but certainly not least, the blood he shed on the Cross for man.

It wouldn't be an accident because that implies an intended outcome. If a creator didn't create the universe it just means the universe just is. Thateats meaning is up to us to determine.

My question is why does there need to be outside meaning to life?

The cause argument ignores that the laws apply to the start of the universe and that time is dependant on the existence of the universe. Time is the measurement of the expansion of matter in space.

    Why is that?

Ask that of the new father holding up his newborn son. Do you understand the wide-ranging implication there?

Why would outside meaning effect the joys of bringing new life?

There is no such model. There is just the theory of Evolution that has expanded since Darwin. Even Darwin excepted the possibility of a vreator.

Other humans who interact with eachbother beg to differ with such a write off. The universe isn't a judge nor assigns meaning because it cant. We do.

My main question is why does it matter if only other hans care about your life? Who cares if life has meaning outside this?

How do you know it was created? Time is a part of our universe so there is no before.

Why indulge the godless their question on Twitter or anywhere in this regard? They don't believe in God. The only reason they're posing such a stupid question is to exploit the dead and mock the tragedy by implying God let these poor people be killed. These Twitter people are beneath contempt.
God sends these type examples to the faithful's attention so we can see what it looks like when someone is not in his grace.

Those faithful murdered people are with God now. And if the Twitter godless really want to consider prayer and its effectiveness, they should realize God did answer prayer. He sent a former shooting instructor who worked for the NRA to pursue this gunman and then shoot him twice. And wounded this shooter answered everyone's prayer when he then shot himself in the head. Insuring he'd never shoot anyone else.

Because behind everything is a design and behind every design is a designer. If someone doesnt believe in a creator then they at least have to believe in eternity because there can never be a start because 'nothing' cannot cause something. Its been causes causing causes for eternity. And then they need to believe life comes from life and life does not come from non life. Then it becomes eternal life.

Yes, enough to know that time is a product of our universe so asking what e before is meaningless and trying to apply newtonIan mechanics to the universe itself is circular.

How do you know that everything was designed. Humans design because we bend the natural laws to our will. The universe operates by natural laws we exploit.

NewtonIan Mechanics or Newton's first law is thattater can neither be created or destroyed so energy (an aspect) of matter has always existed and is looking to come to rest. This law explains that unless their is energy transference a reaction can't happen. The big bang is the first known action that caused the expansion of the universe and that is when time starts as energy forms the early universe.

A creator or God could be behind it all, I'm just pointing out that many of the arguments against the big bang theory fall apart because a lot of the apologetics is behind the advancements made in understanding modern cosmology.
