Maybe I could then, but I don't think the kind of things that I will be doing with my life will make it essential for me to know how to do it.

This is what Betsy DeVos got put in charge of the DoE for. There's no reason parents can't have their taxes go towards the school of their choice, rather than the standard method of going to the local public school, in effect making them pay double.
My state won't allow public money ,the problem with that is it's taxes.taxes means the gov't not the beneficiary makes the rules.see ssdi,ss,ssi for that, and medicare.

I know how you feel dude but it isn't going to happen due to the separation of church written about in the U.S Constitution unless you are from a different country. Anyway, I do believe in the Bill of Rights it speaks about the freedom of religion, so I don't see why public schools can't offer it as an elective course. If they try and force that ridiculous theory that we evolved from apes down our throats, then why do they get offended and accuse us of shoving our beliefs down their throats? The Pledge of Allegiance specifically states; "One nation under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." If they don't have a fit about having that be said in public schools, then why can't children have the right to discuss their beliefs freely?

Separation of Church and State is not in the Constitution. US has a long history of religion and morality taught in public school, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it per the Constitution. We need to abolish the Department of Education though.

The Pledge of Allegiance is removed from school, due to people having a hissy fit over it.

Really? Is that true because I never heard anything about it being removed.

I don't think that I will be required to pay taxes since I'm on disability pay.
Your fiance is going to work right?
Think again, I know Itemize,my wife is disabled. Disability is taxable if the spouse makes enough. I was going to owe 748 this tax year and reworked my deductions with my accountant aND it was now a refund of 408.i made more in 2016,paid more from her ssi and got 50 bucks back.so don't think when he marries you that the irs man would collect from you both!

My fiancee is going to have a heck of a time finding a job when he gets out because even though in my heart I believe he is innocent, not too many places hire ex cons. Hopefully he will be allowed to be put back on SSI, but I don't really know and understand all the rules about that.

Learning math doesn't have to be so horrifyingly expensive. There are free courses on the Internet nowadays that will teach all the math that electricians and other trades need.

Traditional schools still use the lecture method that was used during the Middle Ages. Its time to bring education into the 21st century.

Two areas that hire: construction and produce terminals (trucking) with construction being the far better job, even if he starts out unskilled. When facing long layoffs, he can look to get hired at the nearest produce terminal which would be happy to have a hard worker for a short time. It'd get him in great shape, it's hard work, and the pay is low.

They do,grants happen aND my brother sent his two older kids to one .my county has these:

Up to 8th grade st Helens
St eds k to 12
Masters academy k to 12
Pioneer baptist ,k to 12 ?
Willow ,a christian gnostic church ,k to 12
Yep grants happen for those that they choose.

They are their grants and they can give them to whoever they want but these people are making a profit off of God while trying to convince the world that they are doing this solely for God and the greater good which they aren't but that's OK because God is fixing that right now.

As noble as this sounds it still costs money. If you are wanting to solve the problem of people who cannot normally afford to send their kids to a private, Christian school then you will need to come up with a way to provide funds for their tuition. Private schools do not rely on government money, which is why it is so expensive to send kids there. Public school is "free" because the costs are covered by local property taxes and the like. To solve the high cost of private education you have to start with where the money is.
Also we aren't talking about any private schools BUT RELIGIOUS PRIVATE SCHOOLS DID YOU FORGET THAT YOU ARE ON A CHRISTIAN WEB SITE?

These institutions that are working for God get tax breaks because of that work.

...then why don't they do something proactive about it?

They other day I was watching this dude preach and totally respect the guy for his sincerity but at that particular time he was talking about something that religious people seem to be really into but never really do anything about.

Prayer and Bibles in public school.

I'm all for children learning God's advice in school in fact I started school in a Christian Academy then attended until 3rd grade when my ma couldn't afford to send me there anymore so she enrolled me in public school where I promptly started my academic career of skipping school which ultimately led to me dropping out all together.

Then I became a drug addict, fornicator, drug dealer, thief, liar... You get the picture I'm sure, I can't help pondering if I could have avoided that dark part of my life if my ma could have afforded the "full ride" in Christian Academy.

Now I'm thinking that if these folks who are always talking about teaching Christ in school would maybe lower their cost or better yet allow children to attend their Christian schools for free they would probably get the results that they desire.

Just a thought.
Do Christian schools have a tax exemption?
I know the property taxes we paid on the home we now lease there. The itemized yearly bill to inform the largest part of our tax debt was allocated to the school district.
Could those monies be distributed to the Christian schools in the district?
Separation clause could be an issue. However, wouldn't that be infringed when the government already granted the privilege of that tax exemption?

To my mind I would think federal office granting income tax exemption to a reigious entity would necessarily vacate the separation. In that one is not acting separate from government when operating free of income tax due to government issuance.

I would add the very wealthy television pastors should be the first to contribute to operating expense of all Christian schools within the area of their churches reach. Parish, as some know the boundaries to be called.

You're kidding, right? Whatever tax breaks they may get does not offset the costs of running the school. Where would the rest of the funds come from? They have to charge a tuition or they would cease to exist. Also, there are plenty within the government that wished private schools did not exist, especially because they have no control over the curriculum. This is also why us homeschoolers have such a hard time in the more liberal states.

Not my need to know I realize however, did you know this man before he was sent to serve in prison?
