If we don't have anything nice to say, should we keep quiet? A lot of times it can be rather tempting to say mean things to people for whatever reason. But is it Biblical? Should we just keep our mouth's shut if we don't have anything nice to say?

I think so. Unless someone just asks for an honest opinion (but there are nicer ways to saying it). Jesus probably talks about this on the Sermon on the Mount.

All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to say nothing

I would also add to this, that tolerance when applied to evil is a crime, so why are so many guilty of it?

Trust me, it's going to be necessary to sometimes say something that's going to offend someone. Say it to them though and not say it about them (behind their back). Use discretion for sure and overall, BE NICE as much as possible. :yes

:yes
Most importantly, use your own reasoning (with answers from the Bible). The worse feeling is to know a mistake you made is the result of following someone else's reasoning.
