It seems as though every time I go to put the sugar into the lemonade, providence smacks the sugar out of my hand and smashes the pitcher. So why bother making lemonade in the first place?
I agree. Maybe what you should do is just be happy being miserable. It's your lot in life. Providence and all that. So far you've knocked down every piece of advice others have given you. So here's my advice: be miserable then. Your complaining reminds me of the passage of throwing pearls before swine. If you just want to wallow in the mud, wallow away. But by all means, quit asking for help and advice you never intended to take in the first place.

I'm beginning to hate God for birthing me into a life of loneliness and depression, and into an environment that had killed me inside. If I have demons I'd rather befriend them since they're close unlike God.

You said a mouthful here Brother. Just to clarify a couple things, God has not left you. Your evidence is within your torment and sleeplessness. And why you felt urged to post here.

That's the Holy Spirit calling you back, Brother. He's doing His job.

If God had given up on you and given you over to a reprobate mind or whatever, you wouldn't be posting here or even worried about it.

So there. I've been there done that. I thought God left me...He showed me, it was I who turned my back and left Him. He's been there all along.

reading through what you have said and praying

i never hated God but i was very angry at God at one point in my life because He did not seem to answer my prayers ever

from the time i was a child i prayed continuously for God to protect me - yet the hellish life continued

finally one day after a lifetime of unanswered prayer i got angry and walked away from God

i felt instantly separated from God and realized that God had always been with me

that same day i repented of walking away from God and came back to God vowing to never ask for anything ever again

i felt so ashamed for what i had done - and now felt too ashamed to ever look God in the face - so looking down i told Him i would serve Him without ever asking for anything

well God eventually led me to scriptural teaching on God's will for us and how to pray effectively - it changed my life step by step

after that God brought my wife into my life and i was no longer alone

i think i know how you feel - alone - depressed - nothing good happening

i lived like that for most of my life

now i do have good things in my life and know how to pray and get prayers answered - but i no longer have dreams and goals - i simply ask God each day what He wants - and give Him permission to do what He wants with my life

this is my story which may not match your life - but i am for sure praying for you to be led by God to the truth about what God's will is for your life and how to pray effectively

God bless you my dear friend

THIS, is what it means to be a Christian!!!

In the hereafter, I look forward to chatting with Enoch. This guy, too ...

Yes. Obviously you don't understand how much torment I had to endure in school because of my "special needs." :sad

Please Don't take me the wrong way Sister. I Don't mean to offend...but the Lord has been teaching me some things over a period of time and I'm beginning to realize that, I think we all have a fair share of suffering and torment on earth.

Now I'll concede that some's torment seems obviously worse than others. I couldn't even pretend to know what you have gone through.

But I suspect, that...there's things we don't know that are related to our individual specific circumstances.
We all have a different walk, and a different destiny in the Lord.

What you have went through is prolly than I have ever and a lot of people. But I think that the fact that you did (are) going through it, has certainly developed in you a unique wisdom and skill set because of that experience you went through. The heart and character with the attributes that you will undoubtably need in your eternal spiritual life to come?

Im not sure of the reference, but doesn't it say in scripture that God wrote a book of our life before the foundation of the world? I think it does.

So I'm thinking that, if you suffered an inordinate amount of (hell) on earth, then, God prolly has a very very special destiny and blessing for you, for having endured!

That makes sense? It does to me. That's how God rolls! He loves us so much, and you are so blessed! You would have to be.

He walked with God. How incredible he must have been.
yes and the bible says he walked with God and this pleased God and God took him and he was no more -

which says to me that the thing God wants most from us is to just walk with God

i think about that a lot - of all the things we can do for God WALKING with Him is what pleases Him most

kinda like adam and eve - God walked with them in the cool of the day each day - wow

They also teach that Jesus is boiling in hell in human waste.

Oy vey!

actually this is not true - jews don't teach anything about Jesus -

jews know Jesus is a jew but don't trust what christians have to say about Jesus or God or the hebrew scriptures

jews don't normally study other religions

walking in covenant with God is usually the only thing even secular jews talk about as far as religion goes

being a force for healing repair wholeness on earth - tikkun olam - is the mainstay of judaism

They certainly did not get that from Scripture! Neither is that taught universally by Jews; not even close.
Of course they didn't get from scripture. They got it from the Talmud, and it is actually taught by rabbis. They won't even use a plus sign in math because it looks like a Christian cross. They can get a shekel stuck up their nose and choke for all I care.

that is a disturbingly hateful article - will have to do more study to see how much of that is talmud and how much is that particular person's beliefs

paul breathed out threats against christians due to his hatred of Christ - but God got hold of him in the end - so it is better to pray for those vehemently opposed to Jesus -

the truth is most jews know nothing of this - and most rabbis do not teach this - i have never heard it from any of the rabbis i know

i will ask my rabbi about this - but in past when i asked him these kinds of questions he said to follow scripture first - as the talmud records all sage opinions - pro and con - popular and absurd - so that any who study talmud can see for themselves what is right and wrong by comparing opinions - talmud is a book of opinions and discussions - not held to the same level as scripture

so please don't judge a whole group of people by one person's hateful article

in synagogue we do not hear talmud - we hear scripture

God bless you my friend
