Help me, i feel so lonley i know God is with me but i dont feel any comfort. Why do i feel this way can someone help me? i wish i could find the help i need. God If you hear this, please help me i want to change and i want to do your will, just tell me what i need to do Amen :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

Of course God is hearing it. I have been there before, recently even. I prayed many times for God to come back into my life and to change me, but it was never sincere. I finally decided to change and took the decision seriously a few weeks ago. I have been a Christian for 20 months though. Find time to spend in his word and somehow organize your life to make it less stressful and so you have more personal time with God. It will help. Pray to him and things will start to change.

never in the bible does it say that Christians do not get depressed. I suffer with depreshion and have to lean strongly on God. but mine was and is due to a medical proublem tat has spaned 4 yrs. They have now put me on zoloft because if not I spent all of my time crying. Pray pray alot read the bible go see the Passion then see what you feel. :Fade-color :B-fly:

Keep talking to God. He is there. Listen to Him.

"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

Jesus knows the misery you feel. Jesus makes the difference at that very point, when your pain intersects your cry for help. Jesus is God's answer to that cry.

Jesus took the punishment you deserve. He died in your place so that you can be forgiven. Because you are forgiven, you can have the comfort of knowing you are at peace with God and the certainty that He provides you with the strength to cope with guilt, shame and grief.

And because of what Jesus has done for you, your past is forgiven, your present can be lived with confidence, and your future is guaranteed.

For all who believe in Jesus, an everlasting world, without suffering, sin and death, is assured. This glorious place called heaven is where you will see Jesus face to face.

I will pray for you in the words of St. Paul,

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

GodsWingMan,
you may need to find a Pastor or youth leader to talk with. At least someone who you can be one on one with and open to what you are experiencing.

Thanks to all and keep praying for me because it is helping :biggrin :biggrin :biggrin :biggrin

wingman,
i have felt exactly what you are feeling. this is my outlook on it.
1: first go to a youth pastor pastor or a role model/mentor. then begin seeking God's face with them and by yourself.
2: i hate to say this, but you will probably find little comfort from most people. God is the one youll find it with.
3: sometimes God "distances" Himself from you. He has not left, nor will He ever. however, sometimes He backs away to see if you keep after Him. He wants you to follow Him in everything, everyway. no matter what you feel.
in conclusion: God may be seeing if youll keep after Him. so keep after Him. keep in prayer. keep seeking His face and surrounding yourself with Christians to encourage you. that is what i had to do. ive been through this many times. each time i turned my back on God because i felt He had turned His back on mine. this is not true. God was there. i now have people in my life to remind me of that everyday.
and always remember. there is a reason for everything. you are feeling this for a reason, for the glory of God. He will glorify Himself through this.

yeah, i also have been through lots of hard times and depression, God was always there and even tho i messed up a lot and had lots of problems, God has made me stronger through them and now He's helping me help others. i know i didn't go through all that for nothing. what satan ment for evil, God turned for good.

Hey... I got these three things in E-mail. I thought they might help...

You Are Strong In The Lord

EPHESIANS 6:10 NIV
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

No one can successfully argue against the statement, "You are
strong in the Lord." It is a given that if you are in the Lord,
you are strong. Nothing that is "in the Lord" could be weak.

So the only real question is whether you are "in the Lord."

I JOHN 5:20 NASB
20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us
understanding, in order that we might know Him who is true, and
we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the
true God and eternal life.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 NIV
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the
old has gone, the new has come!

The choice is yours. You choose whether to accept Christ and
thus be identified as "in Him." God does not force this, you
must choose.

EPHESIANS 2:8-10 NASB
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not
of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9 not as a result of works, that no one should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good
works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in
them.

From Ephesians 2:8-10 we can see that when we are saved through
faith, we are created anew IN Christ Jesus. That is our
position. So, anyone and everyone who has received Jesus Christ
can be said to be legally "in Him" according to the Scripture.

Always remember that your strength is not in your own ability
or resources, but your strength is in the Lord. Depend on Him.
He will never fail you. (He probably will test your patience
and maybe even let the situation look hopeless, but He will not
ever fail you.)

PSALM 27:1 NKJ
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The
Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

HEBREWS 13:5-6 NKJ
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with
such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never
leave you nor forsake you."
6 So we may boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; I will not
fear. What can man do to me?"

PSALM 28:8 NIV
8 The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of
salvation for his anointed one.

SAY THIS: I AM strong in the Lord. In the Lord, I am strong,
for the Lord is my strength.

God's Word Is Medicine

God's Word is medicine  for any weakness or sickness in body,
mind, finances, family, marriage, etc.

Whatever sickness or disease you suffer from, God's Word can
cure it. God's Word is effective for any condition. It works as
a preventative as well as a cure. There is no cost and no
danger of taking an overdose.

Like any medicine, God's Word must be taken to be effective. It
will not work sitting on the shelf. And it has to be taken
according to the directions.

But if you will follow God's directions as faithfully as you
would follow the directions of a human doctor, you will see
wonderful results.

Here are the directions:

PROVERBS 4:20-23 NKJ
20 My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my
sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the
midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them, and health to all
their flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the
issues of life.

In verse 22 the Hebrew word translated health is translated as
medicine in some translations.

PSALM 107:20 NKJ
20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from
their destructions.

God's Word will heal. It is full of God's power and carries the
authority of God who spoke it.

JOHN 8:31-32 NKJ
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you
abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
32 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you
free."

You have the guarantee of Jesus  His Word will produce
freedom.

But, you must abide, or continue in His Word. You must feed it
in until you know that you know that you know the truth. Then
you will act on that truth  and it will make you free.

God's medicine works by taking His Word into your being. You
do that by listening to the Word, reading the Word, and
speaking the Word.

You must fill your thoughts with the Word of God. The more of
God's medicine you take, the better off you will be.

SAY THIS: I will take God's medicine daily and it will bring
healing into my life.

Don't Worry

1 PETER 5:7 NLT
7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about
what happens to you.

Probably the biggest temptation most believers face is the
temptation to worry.

What is worry? Worry is thinking that leaves God out. Worry is
the opposite of faith. Instead of expecting God's help -- you
expect the worst.

1 PETER 5:7 CEV
7 God cares for you, so turn all your worries over to him.

The Bible has much to say about not worrying. Worry is not
appropriate for a child of God.

MATTHEW 6:32 CEV
32 Only people who don't know God are always worrying about
such things. Your Father in heaven knows that you need all of
these.

PHILIPPIANS 4:6 ICB
6 Do not worry about anything. But pray and ask God for
everything you need. And when you pray, always give thanks.

SAY THIS: I will not worry. I will trust in God. He will take
care of me and everything that concerns me.

i know exactly what you're going through because i started a healing process for my situational depression a few weeks ago. id advise you to first of all, keep praying! dont give up on God! He will always be there. 2, get out! stay active! get some exercise! thats really helped me- staying active, and exercising does wonders for depression. you are wonderful, you're blessed, you are God's son, and in you He is well pleased. don't forget how special you are. nobody or nothing or anything that happens to you can take that away. when i get depressed i like to think, hey, i dont know, this might be my last day. would i want to spend it depressed? then i get out and take a walk with my dog or play basketball or call my friends, or play my guitar and just worship! good luck and i'm praying for you.

Lady,

I was on Welbutrin for a year and LOVED it. It gave me so much energy and if I missed 2 pills, I was back to crying and depression kicked in full force, so I know the meds worked.

But, they just switched me to Effexor XR and I was just wondering if you know anything about it. My stress level is GREAT now. But, I don't have as much energy. I also have increased appetite, which I NEED (I've always been underweight thanks to my parent's genes!). I don't know what I want most....increased energy or less stress. As of now, i opt for the latter because I notice my kids seem much happier....probably because I have a lot more patience.

But, I've read that effexor can be very addictive and that worries me a bit.

How are you doing on Zoloft? How long have you been on it? Side Effects? I was on it YEARS ago and I had bad side effects.

If my questions are too personal, just let me know! I'll understand.

almost nothing is to personial for me. I have been on it for a bout a yr. No side effects that I know of. so that is good. No I have no clue about thoes other meds! LOL I just got out of the hospital agian. So I defnatly have no energy!
