IMAGERY CAN BECOME OUR REALITY

It sure is the Holy Spirit. It's the voice of God upon you, lol. A lot of people don't get those images. You must be very sensitive to the voice of God. I would cultivate that!

No wonder God likes giving visions! A picture is worth 1000 words and mankind is generally slow witted so imagery saves Him a lot of time with us! Lol. (Plus when you're getting the vision(s), you're there emotionally too, which...(I think), improves perception and awareness, making us more sensitive to the Spirit of God and learning us better. ?

We are to be created and formed in the image of Christ. The brethren who call themselves after the name of Christ would be better served to consider the reality of this image. For many think the image of Christ is one of King and conqueror, and they imagine themselves as such, setting themselves up in the temple of God showing themselves that they are god, declaring God's judgement in the face of the LAW.

But that is not the image of Christ that we are to be formed in. That image is the image of a SON. A Son who makes himself a servant; Humble, Faithful, and obedient, even unto Death.

The Holy Spirit makes me dig too as I will receive one single word as a hint and have to search the scriptures which is pretty cool for understanding as I compare scripture with scripture. I do love studying and since I am retired I do a lot of it everyday.

Yeah that's the fun part, lol! He promises in scripture to manifest himself to us at some point, and I hear testimonies that He is doing this around the world, coming and teaching people. He's walked into couple church services here and there too! (everybody hit the floor!)

But not me yet. He does teach me through scripture and dreams too. With the dreams, it's sorta weird. He will give me the dream and a confirmation that it was from Him...but no interpretation! He lets me dif for that, lol. Which is ok because I've learned a lot like that. Other times I've prayed and asked a question, and get no answer. Then I pick up his word, and boom flip it right open to my answer! There must be a scripture for every possible situation that is common for man to encounter on this earth.

Very recently this happened...I watched a video sermon of a Pastor on YouTube, which was good, and spurred a few questions in my mind. So I comment to the Pastor and ask for a private way to contact him to ask him my questions. He replied and gave me the contact info. I went and messaged him and described the nature of my situation and asked the questions and then clicked send...I figured it may take him a day or three to get back to me as he is probably a busy man so I sort of put it out of my mind for now.

Then early the next morning I make my coffee and turn on my computer and go to watch an early morning message while I wake up. I see a video from the same Pastor that I had messaged that I had never seen before that he posted a month ago. So hey let's watch this one this morning, he's always good.
And his entire message sounded like it was spoken directly to me and it answered every question that I had asked this Pastor the day before, that he had not answered to me yet! I had my answers (he described my situation perfectly), and my answer was from him who I asked the question of!

That blew my mind (and his too!) It came with a built in confirmation. God always does that. Superb!

I hope the teachers of the sacred Word, the world over, stop teaching easy believism doctrine . It deeply hurts n grieves me to see the powerful Word of God being reduced to this - easy believism....It makes me feel Jesus' death was in vain

I do love the way He teaches us to give us the pearls of understanding. Gods ways are defiantly not our ways, thank God.

We should never feel as if the death of Jesus was in vain. The cross was about God's reconciliation with man, not man's reconciliation with God.

It's only now that we are reconciled back to God by the atonement of the cross as there is no more sacrifice for sin as we are saved by faith and belief in the life of Christ in His life, death and resurrection as He is our mediator before the Father. It's only those who will not accept Gods grace that have made that of the cross vain in their own lives.

If we are to be built up in the image and likeness of Christ, then we must move beyond repenting of sins. We should seek to find the "godly sorrow" which works towards salvation. Repentance from sin is a function for those bound to the law and to a schoolmaster.

I seriously disagree with you. Repentant faith is an absolute must for the salvation doctrine .
Here are some examples:
So watch what you do! “If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. (Luke 17:3)

As the Lord’s servant, you must not quarrel. You must be kind toward all, a good and patient teacher, who is gentle as you correct your opponents, for it may be that God will give them the opportunity to repent and come to know the truth. (2 Timothy 2:24-25)

The apostles left and started telling everyone to turn to God. (Mark 6:12)

Peter said to them, “Each one of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven; and you will receive God’s gift, the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)

I told you my sins, and I am sorry for them. (Psalm 38:18)

Matthew 3:2 ►

"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."

Therefore no repentance no forgiveness. And if no forgiveness then NO SALVATION.
We have a sin nature , even after coming to Christ and it's very likely we will sin. It becomes very important to quickly acknowledge and repent each time we we sin . Yes we must go past this stage into greater obedience. But must also repent each time it occurs.

I put the term "godly sorrow" in quotes for a purpose. If you can't find that phrase, then let me know and I shall post it.

2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

Godly sorrow brings one to repentance towards salvation. After salvation you have tasted the good word of God and it is impossible to renew yourself unto repentance seeing you crucify Christ again and put him to an open shame, Hebrews 6:4-6. Sinning can break our fellowship with God, but not the salvation we already received. This is why we need to repent when we do recognize we have sinned to keep that fellowship in tact with God as we ask for help to resist any sin we find our self in doing.
