Dr. Gregor has great understandings for vegan/vegetarian intake. I've listened many of his youtube vids and lectures.

And yes, this general "Daniel and his cohorts" approach works fantastically well. In short (there are many variations) it calls for elimination of meat, fish, eggs, dairy, wheat products, processed oils and processed foods. It's nearly impossible to eliminate every avenue of processed oils when dining out, but a dramatic reduction of intake is easily achievable. At home I use coconut milk/shredded organic flax seeds for moderate oil/fat intake, and organic cold pressed organic avocado oil in small amounts for stir frying.

You can all all you want of what else remains and NEVER feel for one moment like you are starving. And weight loss follows. It's truly amazing. I just got back from a several day trip out of state for a wedding. My wife still eats a SAD,
(standard American diet.) But we managed to eat once a day, usually mid afternoon, at buffets where I could have unlimited amounts of fruits, potatoes (usually with meatless marina sauce), vegetables, mushrooms, onions, peppers, greens of all sorts, etc. Seriously ate like a pig. At the wedding they had potatoes, vegetables, salads, etc. Just avoided the meats and cheeses stuff. Even had about 4 micro brew beers. Returned home and voila, not a pound added. It's wonderful and easily maintainable.

I'd recommend it as a permanent diet change for anyone. Particularly to anyone suffering various health or weight problems. The Daniel 10 day was probably just veggies. But for long term viability some starches need to be included to make it successful, such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, etc.

There's one problem with the "Daniel Diet". The prophet Daniel was not a vegan. I get rather annoyed by those using the bible totally out of context to push their vegan agenda. With the proper imagination, one can create all sorts of false doctrines from bible stories.

Tim Daniel fasted without meat for 3 weeks. 21 days

So? That does not mean he was a vegan but rather chose that out of necessity because of the defiled foods. He was not vegan before his captivity. I'm not convinced anyone from Israel was.

I like organic coconut oil made by Spectrum.

I Timothy 4.3
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
If people choose to abstain from meat it is their choice BUT trying make a biblical doctrine out of not eating meat is contrary to the word of God.

We are not to add or take away from the word of God. This is a serious warning.
Deut 4.2

You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you

Luke 24.42
41While they were still in disbelief because of their joy and amazement, He asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish, 43and He took it and ate it in front of them.

When we add something to God's word we are in essence saying that it is not sufficient. Let God be true though every man be a liar.

I've heard a vegan diet gives you zero b12, so vegans must take supplements. Also, we need cholesterol to survive. It is a very vital substance used in the cells. For those two reasons, I don't believe we were meant to be vegans. I've heard tho it makes a good fast for both spiritual and body cleansing reasons.

Agreed.

This link is one big advertisement for a supposed self described doctor who's "about" page doesn't include her credentials. She's exploiting the scriptures to promote her retain enthusiasm for gullible customers.

It's like that fraud "Dr.Laura" who gives advice on the radio. Her PhD is in physiology. Not psychology or psychotherapy. She's just an opinionated jerk exploiting hurting people who think she's a mental health professional.
This dr. carney looks to be just another charlatan . If she's a doctor, she'd prove it first off.
