Hebrews 7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Romans 8:34 who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Hebrews 8:6 but now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Jesus, our Great High Priest!

So often I hear people claim the Gospel is "the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ."

That omits the ASCENSION, and all too often Christian lives reflect that incomplete theology. His role in our lives now is that of our High Priest, and every Priest's favorite duty was to serve at the altar of incense. Revelation shows us this refers to prayer.
What an amazing thing to ponder, that the Lord of all actually enjoys interceding on our behalf!

YES! And this strongly points to something else John tells us, about running from the Light or coming to it, John 3:17-21

God is not going to force anyone to come to Him, but does draw us to Him. Even in our imperfections He is patient with all, but His patience will end some day.

i have to run to the throne of GRACE .NOT A DAY GOES BY I DONT NEED GRACE AND MERCY when folks run away instead of run to. they dont know his grace and mercy . i love the story of the city of refuge

Many think their sins are to deep for God to forgive them and afraid to approach Him. This is a mindset trick of Satan that causes many to dwell in their own misery. Christ as our mediator will always hear the prayers of a humbled heart.
