Just what the name suggests. I figured that since I just finished reading the book of Genesis, and I'm going to start reading Exodus tonight that I would post what I recently learned and use the videos to clarify them for me. The first one is about the holy grail which I do believe is the cup that Jesus Christ drank from at the last supper. I don't really believe it has powers that it claims it does though.

The second video has to do with Joseph and his brothers.

And the final video is the trailer for the movie that I'm going to watch in a little bit.

Sorry about the extremely bad quality in the second video on the top thread by the way, I had no idea that it was going to be that bad.

These are documentaries of the lost years in the life of Jesus since the Bible is very silent about His childhood. Since I eventually want to write a story on what His childhood could have been like, I am planning on watching these and making sure that they are realistic as possible. At least, hopefully they will be helpful to me on that.

And here are just a couple of more videos. I think that boy playing Jesus in the first video is very cute, and the second video is because it's getting really close to Easter and I still love the story since it is about hope and knowing that this life isn't the end because the love that Jesus had for us when He suffered and died on the cross for our sins. (I already posted it on the Easter thread, but I figured that I would post it again here anyway)

Here are a couple more Bible stories that I really liked and found interesting. The first video has a story that I recently learned. I always loved the David and Goliath story though because of the fact that it just goes to show that with the power of the Almighty God nothing is impossible. :cross

The only problem I had with the second clip is that the lions were supposed to have their mouths shut by an angel so how could they still roar?

In this case the information given us about their mouths being shut by an angel is not to be taken literally but figuratively and to mean they were prevented from eating Daniel. They would, then, be allowed to toiar but not eat. Included would be, in this case, to not even claw Daniel. A lot of the Old Testament is to illustrate a point to a very savage people, both Jewish amd Gentile.

the Revelation of Jesus, the Christ is the weird book of the New Testament because folks never read to understand the Old Testament and the The Revelation is written and reads in the same manor as the Old Testament.

Oh okay oops, I always took that story literally since I first learned about it as a child in Sunday school. And I realize that even if it meant literally unless they used CGI it would be impossible to shut the mouths of those lions.

Bill makes a valid point, that "shutting the mouth of lions," even if literally to the point they couldn't roar, would be no salvation at all if they could still claw you! An ordinary house cat can slice you open in a hurry, I know from experience and still have a scar. Compare the weight and power of that to a lion?

This illustrates how Hebrew works as a language, and why the OT is not so easy to understand. We really need to get the idea first, and that is in the NT. Once we're solid on all that (except Revelation) and unable to learn more, then the OT gives us more understanding.

Ya gotta love some of these OT stories though! David and Goliath, Daniel and the lion's den; of course these both speak of Christ :)

This isn't really a Biblical artifact per say, but it's still really rather neat. :biggrin Although it makes my stomach drop just watching this video. :mouthdrop Has anybody ever heard of this statue (Christ the redeemer) before? Apparently it's in Brazil which I didn't even know was a Christian nation until I watched Rio and Romeo and Juliet.
