Is it Christ like to tell someone to shut up? Is it a sin? Should be do it at all, or is it rude?

I don't think it is a sin but it is definitely rude. I really can't say a bunch but I necessarily don't think it's right.(I am guilty of doing it as well) I wouldn't say its a huge unChristian thing to do but I don't think us trying to be role models for younger growing Christians should do that.

That is just my opinion.

May God Bless You!

I don't think it's a sin to tell someone to be quiet, when it's needed. A gentle rebuke is good. But to tell them to 'shut up' is pretty rude, and I don't think it's necessary. Not a very Christian thing to do...not very loving, and so therefore it is a sin, as we are commanded to love our neighbour.

My neighbor and I are good friends and i tell him to shut up all the time, i guess it can be rude and wrong in some cases but not all. You can usually judge it. :yes

I guess it can depend on the situation and who you're telling it to, but I still think it's too rude.
