Hi Eugene
I'm reading along and am sorry I don't understand something.
Don't mean to detail this thread.
Please just answer this:
Are you saying we are in the millineal age??
Good morning sister. No, I am not saying that at all, but there is coming that reign of Christ which begins when Jesus receives His own throne according to Rev 4:2. At that time there will be a new covenant with Israel and Judah.
There’s coming a time when Israel shall be brought back to God. Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, He saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: There shall be witnessing as never before to the nations in those days of the millennium, and in that day they will be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Mt 28:19. Nations will be taught, not just individuals.
Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Presently we're still under the commission of what the apostles were told to do in this present age? Mar 16:15-16 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." And Act 8:4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. I will add here that we are presently known as the age of grace, or the Church age in the doctrine of dispensations.

Again this present age will end when the fullness of the Gentiles is complete, and Rom 11:25 begins. I hope this makes sense. If it is still not clear, please ask and I may see something in your question I'm missing. Thanks.

Great post Jim. :salute

Now let the twisting begin.

Indeed. I don't see how it could be refuted as true. Oh I know they will, they always do. It doesn't disagree with any other scripture passage. That's scripture allright. Just as true as Psalm 91. :yes

If believers can't have much faith, then the least they could do is to trust Him at His word.

Eugene,
Please note the red highlighted above.

Are you saying we do not have the New Covenant yet?

To be honest, I am a little bit confused by what you're saying.

Be back later...
Thanks!

Dear Sister wondering, we Gentiles as well as any Jews as believers are under the New Covenant! Are all Israel and Jacob under that New Covenant? When Jesus takes over as King of kings, and Lord of lords, will there be change in the way to become saved? Not in my opinion.

Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

What is it going to take for all Israel to be saved, and fall under the New Covenant of love versus the Old covenant of law and sacrifice?
There will be the two witnesses to begin with, and a plethora of witnesses sent out according to Mt 28:18 teaching those nations that have not received Christ as their Savior.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (He has not taken that power yet - Heb 2:8 But now we see not yet all things put under him.)

There are two great commissions. One in Mark 16:15 where they were to go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (It was done and continues.)
AND
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (This will occur during the millennium)
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. I hope I make it more clear as I relearn some fine points. :)

I always avoided those verses, but it was never because of their content (although the exact juxtaposition of words and sentences leads to conclusions not really supported by the parallel verses in their context). Rather, my concern was more a desire to stick with the original inspired words and avoid anything that MIGHT be non-original. It falls into the same area as the footnotes on a study bible ... I like to read them, but I never want to confide what Zondervan says with what God says.

PS. Great OP.

I think I might have to believe that...he put a good Bible in my hand. If I'm wrong about a couple details I don't think it would matter to Jesus. He probably gets a good laugh out of us everyday, Lol

Again reba says His Word is His Word even on a Hallmark card.
Understanding these verse in Mark are not the same as a card..as someone said they do not conflict with other Scripture.

They certainly do not conflict with any other Scripture as long as one understands that v.15 is referring to the real baptism of the Holy Spirit, and not the ceremonial water baptism, which symbolizes being in union with Christ, which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. :)

Okay and thanks. I will say that in seeing the benefit of separating God's dealing with different ones aided me in context to much of scripture. Even with the separation God made with the Apostle Paul versus the other eleven apostles.
Col 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints.

Blessings in Christ Jesus.
Hi Eugene, Dispensations or Stewardship as it is also called is Scriptural. It is not a man made doctrine. The Bible presents it clearly, even as Paul confirms it. (Eph. 1:9-10) (1 Cor. 9:17) (Eph. 3:2) parellel to (Col. 1:25) (Eph. 1:10) God's own work is spoken of as a dispensation. Anyone who studies the Stewardship's and their failure of man to keep them cannot deny their teachings.

John 1:14 KJV
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The word carved in stone is one thing, but the Word made flesh is its design purpose.

The word on a Hallmark card is wisdom crying in the street.
"even on a Hallmark card". The (even) might be best stated as (especially).

To state scripture from a heart of flesh (not a stony heart), is a purpose of the new heart.

To have the mind of Christ (not a carnal mind), is another purpose of a new man.

Thanks Hallmark Reba.
