In the 70's the Christians in Mexico i knew trusted their KJV 100% what's happened since then should be obvious..
Their kjv isn't in English.Spanish versions do articulate better and are better at the old classic greek translation.

I do know enough Spanish to see that.

King James only is a cult now? My Oh My!
Yes indeed it is. When a group of people venerate (worship) an object as god they are a cult. I have been told by multiple people in the KJV Only cult that the KJV is not a translation of scriptures but is literally their god. They base this on their idea that it is the "perfect word of God" combined with John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Therefore, since they insist the KJV is the only true and 100% correct word of God, and since John 1:1 is referring to Jesus, the actual paper and ink book they hold in their hands is literally God Himself. This is a strong attribute of cults; venerating (worshiping as a god) a physical object.

The people of the KJV Only cult, much like your article presents, claim that they are the only ones who know and have access to the one and only truth about God (in this case, the KJV translation). This is another clear and strong attribute of a cult and is emphasiazed even more strongly by how incensed they get when people like myself refer to the KJV as only a "translation" or only a "version". They insist it is the "KJB" (or the King James Bible), not a version or translation at all, but the literal actual 100% correct and only word of God. This is another attribute of a cult.

Insisting the rest of the world change to accommodate their ideas or burn in hell is an attribute of a cult. The KJV Only people, since they insist the KJV is the only true word of God, insist that you can not be saved by hearing or reading any other translation of scripture. Therefore if a person thinks they were saved by hearing scripture from any other translation, they are not truly saved and will burn in hell as a result. This is why they insist that the rest of the world must learn Middle English and read the KJV translation in English as the only way to be saved. This is an attribute of a cult.

So, yes, those who hold to the idea of KJV Onlyism are a cult.

There's nothing wrong with reading and even preferring the KJV translation. But those who claim it is the one and only inspired word of God and the only scripture that can be used to properly witness to Muslims (or anyone else) are going way beyond "preferring" and have entered cult status.

Do any of you have a bible that you trust 100% ?
I like the Kjv but I have learned from any valid translation. Even Spanish versions.

The Ylt is a literal translation. Languages change.so which type of Spanish do you suggest to any Hispanic? Castillano?
Mexican,Cuban?

Have you been in Mexico "beyond the border" by way of a bus? The KJV has been translated into Spanish Obadiah..
I met my ex wife in Mexico, her entire family are church going people who have lived in Mexico for generations, and every year for 10 years I lived with them for months at a time where no other people spoke English and white Americans were almost never seen. I don't know what difference it makes if I rode a bus in Mexico or not, but I rode plenty of them and I also drove there in my own truck, even deep into tropical jungle villages on 2 track dirt roads that we Americans would consider hard core four wheel drive only roads where even the tiniest of buses would never even try to go, even as far south as within a day's drive of the Guatemala border. So don't try to tell me I know nothing of Mexico.

Now, what was it you'd like to ask me about?

The KJV is an English translation, not a Spanish translation. Anything claiming to be a Spanish KJV is not a KJV at all, but simply another translation of scripture into another language. There is no Spanish KJV.

At least admit that you use the same sources for the Kjv for a Spanish Bible.
Was that for me? I'm sure the same sources, or at least some of the same, were used to translate Spanish bibles as well, but using the same source doesn't make them the same translation. Even a direct translation from the KJV, using only one of the several corrected versions of the KJV, wouldn't really be a Spanish KJV holding all the same authority claimed as being the one and only true word of God. Many English words simply can not be directly translated to other languages just as many of the words of the original scriptures could not be translated directly to English words. Love and fornication are only two examples of this. And then there are the massive problems of grammar to consider. Without taking Spanish grammar into consideration, a direct word for word translation from KJV English into Spanish would be incomprehensible. A "Spanish KJV Bible" would simply be a translation of a copy of one of the many corrected revisions of the English KJV, which in itself is nothing more than an attempt to translate copies of copies of no longer available original manuscripts written in ancient and now disused languages. It would be a wasted effort as it wouldn't be understandable to the average Spanish speaking person.

No,kjvo

So say the "experts" guess we're stuck stupid then better start carrying 3 or 4 versions around.. Bah! One is enough...
One is enough for those who wish to remain ignorant. Those who seek the truth look at and analyze information from all sources they can find to come to their conclusions.

I strongly encourage you to pick up a copy of When the Mosque Comes to Town and learn how to share and defend your faith today! Chick Publications also has several other books on Islam and tracts designed specifically to help you witness to Muslims.
The word of God is Holy and true and without error. Not only is every word true, but the very way it was ascribed is exactly the way God intended (every word). But this only applies to the original script, not to translations. But the translations are clear enough to hear God and be drawn to Him. There are those who take the Scriptures to make unto themselves as a self appointed guide to the blind, acting as if though appointed by Christ, usurping Christ's authority. Christ is outside of the visible Church door knocking, not for you to come out, but that can he come in. No born again believer is an island and no born again believer stands alone, but walks with Christ Spirit in him. The born again believer DIES to self and LIVES unto Christ. (not I, but Christ in me).

The self willed believer, stands out right away. He is proud, boastful, has no grace, has no real peace but is satisfied that he is the teacher of the knowledge of God....but knows nothing! He is an avid defender of HIS denomination and interpreting Scripture to make a point, that has no such point that he defends at all. He is overbearing and abusive in dialect and unapologetic

He gets a lot of his religious information from carnal sources, and cannot discuss doctrine without belittling the defender.
The born again believer as a child who can error in doctrine, and at times revert back to the flesh until he grows in grace (not into grace) but grows in the grace he has received, matures from a child into an adult son. He is not boastful or proud. He does not envy, he does not show love to magnify himself. he does not rejoice in sinful matters but is lifted up by the TRUTH. Is not easily provoked and does not consider evil revenge. he does not act unseemly nor is he puffed up. He believes all things in Christ, is not easily provoked. He bares all things and endures all things. All because of the love of Christ in him.

He himself in Christ witness the Scriptures. He is the word of God. We see enough animosity between denominational and word meanings and doctrines that do not represent the gospel and would not draw anyone except religious anarchist or riotous souls.

It is the Voice of the Martyrs that suffer the word of God. And they are martyrs because they have died to self and live unto Christ.
To the Muslim: What is it that I have done to you that you would destroy me? My country allows homosexual life style...that is not me. My government is corrupt...But that is not me. My country is full of evil practices, ungodly behavior....But that is not me. They bribe, rob, and lie continually and promote infidelity....But that is not me. If you say you know or represent God, then you would know me, and if you do not know me, then you do not know the one true God who has created all things, whose judgment is eternal upon all who are disobedient.

They do display some cultish behavior such as insisting that only their chosen translation is correct.
The JW's do the same thing with their New World Translation.
Should make a body say, "Hmmmmmmm..." :thinking
The big problem is that the hard core KJV Only people do far more than just insist the KJV is the only correct translation. FAR more than that!

I have been told by several of the cult of KJV Only that it is the responsibility of those who do not speak English to go out and learn English so they can learn the truth about God which is ONLY given in the KJV translation of the Bible. This is truly false, and is part of what makes these people a cult.

That sounds satanically similar to the Islamist idea that those who do not speak Arabic should go out and learn Arabic so they can learn the truth about Allah which is only given in the Arabic version of the Quran.

I guess I am also one of those cult people as my KJV has served me well as being Gods spoken word (emphasis on God, not the paper and ink). The original manuscripts written by the Prophets and the Apostles have been translated into many languages, but since I can only read and speak English, although I do research the Hebrew and Greek meanings of certain words for understanding, it all boils down to allowing the Holy Spirit teach us first before we can take Gods word out to others so we know we are teaching in all truths, John 14:26. Christ through me has brought many Muslims to Himself by me using the KJV as I share scriptures with them like John 3:3-7; Romans 10:9, 10 and Colossians chapter three to name a few. I do not have to dress like other cultures or cunningly make myself to represent anything other than what or who I am in Christ. On my website one can click on their own language to read and study what I teach there. It makes no difference to me what Bible one chooses, but I choose the KJV for myself and that does not make me an occultist.

No one is saying it does. I think you need to look up KJV Onlyism and see what it is about. You prefer the KJV, you are not a KJVOist.

Well your batting a thousand Obadiah I'm an ignorant cultist now.. because i choose to use the KJV and nothing more..
