It's hard to come off the sugar. I had a much easier time breaking the habit of "table salting", but sugar? Lord have mercy on me, I am a sucker for soda, and the occasional hershey bar. My wife and I bought a treadmill as our Christmas present to one another, and it's my intention to shed a few pounds and kill the soda habit.

Easy way to break SALT is to switch to Sea Salt. (Some kinds, like Norwegian, are better for you than others...... same thing with butter.... I think it's called "raw butter")

Did you know red beef is very good for you? IF....... and only, if,....... it is "grass fed."

Yeah, I don't do any milk -- haven't for the last 3 years. But as with most foods, the milk issue is with the pasteurization and the things they feed the cows. And then to top it off, they push the skim variety, even on growing kids in the schools, which is basically sugar water on top of that yet. It's things like that which get me infuriated. But if the neighbor's kid sells some raw milk to the public, he'd be surrounded by swat teams in no time flat.

Either this country is steeped in ignorant, autocratic arrogance, or there's actually a plan to make people sick, but the latter gets into the conspiracy theories. So, for the sake of this forum, I'll just give the medical world, the pharmaceutical world, and the government the benefit of not trying to kill us off and just say that they are just pompously ignorant because it probably pushes someone's agenda where money is involved.

Well, what industry do you see producing the most TV ads? No, the government and Pharmaceutical companies aren't trying to kill us off....... they are trying to get us hooked on having to depend upon them for our very existences.

Just the opposite of what God asks of us.

To much Milk causes cancer, especially in adults who don't have the enzyme to digest it properly anymore. Right or Wrong ?

I've consumed sugar for 57 years. God willing, I'll consume it for 57 more.

breathing in the state of California causes cancer. don't breathe if you live there or waste that money and buy a can of fresh air.

being sarcastic but with that statement it wouldn't surprise me if they did say that.

This seems to be a problem with only the diary industry's processed milk as homogenization and pasteurization destroys the lactase, it's natural enzyme for the body to digest lactose. The "milk" sold in stores is not really natural milk, and then when some poor people drink the stuff and run to the bathroom right away the doctors make it sound like it's their fault and call them "lactose intolerant".

So, it all depends what you call milk. Milk in your typical grocery store is about as much milk as Michele Obama's "whole grain bread" they try to push. This is what I've been saying in various ways for years now. The issue is the processing and how man changes the food by additives, removal of nutrients, heating it, etc etc.

Many "lactose intolerant" people can drink raw milk just fine. Unless one wants to invest in their own cow or goat, I made the decision to stay away from that type of diary altogether. I don't see anything in nature that mandates I must drink milk, except I'm a baby.

As with everything, moderation is key.

Yep. Sugar is prolly just like salt in that respect. I read that we don't need to salt our food to get the intake of salt that our body does need because there is enough salt already processed into the food we buy.

Yes, exactly. Don't need to supplement salt unless there is a medical reason. I used to have to due to a medication I was on.
