If you had plenty of money and your conscious wasn't bothered I don't see why not. Personally I wouldn't but that's a matter of taste. Even if I had the money I'd never spend that much on a vehicle. I like buying used.
The one I wanted in the picture was 10 years old.

hmmmm, well that qualifies as used so maybe as a fun summer time vehicle it'd be fine. If I had more money than I could possibly spend. OTOH, the price isn't that out of line with a new truck (which I would buy). A 2017 Ford Super Duty F-350 SRW with the additions I'd want runs from $51,822.

Mama mia, all that money for a toy truck?
What would you do with it?
Pull up to a little Toyota Prius and start beeping your horn to get out of the way?

looking for fault in what others do is not a good idea... something about throwing the fist stone..

LOL
I know persons upstate that need a truck for various reasons. One is to take garbage to the dump.

Wondering

once you have a pick up it is not easy to be with out one ..
That's true. I sold my mini and now I have a trailer to do the work the truck used to do. It's kinda fun having a trailer since I never had one. I took it all apart, repainted it, put in a new floorboard, fixed the connection (on the sides) and made the tail gate easier to open. It looks good.

On the matter of the Merc, I have not bee naround them for a while but if cared for, in the sixties it was the only car in the world to steadily increase in value instead of depreciate.
