Subject: You can't fix stupid.

I guess when your schooling is free, you don't feel the need to learn anything. Just because they “went to college” doesn't mean they were educated in anything but football.

Just another example of why you can't fix stupid..
Do not miss the last one!!

NEW YORK (World News Bureau) –
In a recent polling of 585 NFL players, nearly all of them were unsure of exactly what they are protesting.

Here's a sampling of responses to the question: "What are you protesting by kneeling during the National Anthem?"

"Pretty sure it's against Nazis - especially the white ones.":rolleyes

"We're protesting America becoming capitalistic instead of equal.":nonono

"I'm protesting against Trump saying black lives don't matter." :missyou

"We're against global warming and the police.." :confused2

"We're showing the world that we care about, ah, things such as.... such as... ah, freedom from suppression?" :screwloose2

"Me and my fellow players are protesting the Constitution of Independence because of what it does to people of color."stinkeye

"We are displaying our right to stand up by kneeling for our beliefs." :coffee

"We are protesting Trump, because he, you know, keeping the black man down." :eek

"Myself is kneeling to show that just because I'm American don't mean I got to act like one." :rolleyes

All above comments are from National Football League players with 4 years of an American College “Education”. :thud

Average player salary $1,900,000 :shrug

It is kind of funny and is sad too on another level.

I don't think kids take learning seriously anymore. They kinda let them skate through and things go good for them and money flows because of the sports and they put it out of their mind I guess.

Not thinking that when they get older the sports will stop paying and then where will they be? Ignorance is not bliss. Sometimes I regret not going to college (and learning!) but they way it turned out is better I think. I picked up a wrench instead of college, but now I know something, and I do like helping people So maybe I dodged a bullet?

I've always loved to read books. All types. I can remember when I was young and wanting to learn and didnt think the school was teaching anything meaningful and useful. I can remember actually playing hookey...to stay home and read cool books on my own, lol! (Even though now, the older I get the less I feel I know because I started walking with the Lord!

Those types of people are prime to be evangelized to... They have been given less in life (slow witted), so...less will be required of them. Only to accept and believe in the Lord. I have one of these guys as a neighbor. He's a black man 56 years old, and...had a hard life. He's slow to understand, quick to anger (when he's been drinking) obnoxious at times and is used to fighting for everything in life. He never went to college. But! Deep down there is a spark of goodness in his heart. So I'm working on that. It's tiring though, he has a lot of drama in his life and tells me all about it.

I'm rambling, sorry.

I asked the Lord to teach me how to love people the way he loves me...and I'm pretty sure this is the Lord's response (Wow! careful what you pray for.)

Silly, but sad.

I don't get how there are honest, hard working people out there barely scraping by on their 20k -40k a year yet these sports players rake in a fortune. It is sad how they get paid more than our soldiers, first responders, teachers, etc.

It's not just sad, it's downright tragic.

God help us.

you probably correct about NFL players but the NBA? ...they deserve that mountain of money because they the greatest athletes in the world.

i think its a socially and economically rooted problem. most peoples' jobs don't really matter now...there's a whole book dedicated to it, called (cow manure) jobs. even jobs that seem like they matter, like nurses and even doctors, they're bogged down in busy work, too. education reflects society and the economy, so...

you have an economy filled with (cow manure) jobs, mass produced undergraduate degrees, and a reduction in upward mobility...

this is what you get. socially, I think the 0 tolerance school environment kind of makes kids and teens less inquisitive, more well trained, docile, and able to recite info without actually -learning-. its not as if the kids wake up and say "well, gee golly, im gonna memorize to test well, but i don't wanna learn!," its a big, big problem for our entire culture.
