Bleh you aren't having fun with the fantasy. Who says a jetson type car has to be under constant forward propulsion that if unmanned will dive to the ground? Get all star trek on us. I know you have ideas. :wink
Crap fails,in trek they even go there.

One episode a shuttle looses power abd Picard is injured, nearly dies.I could go into reaction control thrusters are minI ion engines uses by the voYager craft.

None of this has prevented progress. Machines have been improving for centuries, even though they are not perfect. New factories tend to be substantially automated compared to days of yore.

So in your world manual labor is unfit for man.he shouldn't even garden.just write poetry, make knicknacks.
I remember when they said in the age we have now,no more 40 hour work weeks.the computer will reduce that.hah,no it didn't.

If my machine fails, shuts off, rain kills it,cell phone dies.I habe paper and pen.I have read the route by memory and wrote the reads in.I wasn't slowed down by a lack of a machine .it took an half and hour to get s machine ,so I read that way until i got another.

No, in my world people eventually get older, and some oldsters may benefit from a robot helping them get the chores done. The population is graying. Fewer youngsters per oldster over time. Robots can fill the gap. Making things and doing things that there are not enough youngsters to make and do anymore. The oldster to youngster ratio is an artifact of people dwelling on the earth longer than in days of yore.

Gardening is easy and fun for most people at 25. At 85, some people might prefer to send their robot into the hot sun to tend the tomatoes. Just work in the garden themselves on mild days.

No,that is because of less children. This isn't a problem in Asian cultures,me where abortion isn't a fact.

The youth ,in general are into their machines,to busy to notice nature. I can garden all year,no snow here,I notice that the youth because if the age of electronic are also out of shape .in my youth ,I could roam miles,in my state because a kid waa walking a dog without her parebt ,not even a block, parent goes to jail.

I understand the safety but the idea of the older being more is because of the baby booming ,gen x,y,z didn't have as much kids to replace ,Latinos, asians don't have that problem.

Japan and China both have far more challenging demographics than the USA does. Japan is a leader in elder care robot development because of this.

In 1900 the average life expectancy was about 48, now its about 80.

Because the Japanese didn't have enough kids,a robot augemented society will still as a culture die out.

My point is made because unless we procreate we die out ,china will do the same.then another group will move in and or if not then robots stand there awaiting orders.

This is already happening in European nations as the muslims reproduce more.

You can't sUstain the elderky, culture on robots, where will the money come from? A thousand humans pushing a button to tell a robot to do?workers must out number the elderly or it fails.materials to mass produce as electronics do age and fail from the elements, become antiquated.who uses a trs 1000 to go online?

Because the Japanese didn't have enough kids...

Yes, that's true. However, Japan is a crowded island chain. There is not enough space to keep multiplying the population indefinitely. They already import a lot of their food. Not enough arable land to support any more children there. Even Britain imports half of its food. Resources are finite. 7.6 billion people on the planet today versus 1.6 billion in 1900. How many more can be supported by planetary arable land?

workers must out number the elderly or it fails.

Robot workers plus human workers combined compared to number of elderly.

Robots suck. They take bread off of families tables.

They don't demand fair treatment from their masters either.

I've long thought that technology is a huge part of the world's deception. We don't really need any technology, we have the Spirit of God within us.

Japanese pay people to be friends, family for those without them.

Robots will be built in finite materials ,rare earth elements are limited.even silica will run out.

Your car if it were robotically controlled on a Windows operating system:

"brakes are updating, and will be available in 15 minutes."
The reading machine I have,an itron, uses .windows You mean the most easily hacked software known.unlike apples system and the oldest ancestor of it that got us to the moon, created by ibm. Those are harder to hack and easy to fix.

How does on tax a robot? Someone must own it.will these robots be forced to work ,pay taxes, have sentience? So no,the user ,owner will pay .a back hoe itself dont pay taxes, the tax for use of it is paid by it user who lays that cost upon those who buy his services.

So when we farmed by hand without machines,no tractors ,plows by hand,ox nay within my dad's lifetime men did this here .it wasn't technology then that .I wouldn't want to go back that far.

Change is going to have drawbacks but let's not romance the past and make it seem glorious ,and carefree.

In my state,go to the beach, a gator ,panther might have a meal.delivering mail waa dangerous as you them to deal with.bears too, snakes etc. Nevermind ,malaria, yellow fever, etc.life was simpler then but also it had its danger.

If there was hell on earth ,aa the memoirs of the early settlers said here florida was it

Well...I'm talking about the pre-fall of man. It was after that, that the Lord said by the sweat of your brow you shall work the land...

of course, we also didn't need woman for child bearing but that is a jewish thought. no death etc no need to have to replace the dead. but that is hypothetical. given there wont be death nor marriage in the world to come. what is the point of having kids then?
