I know govt who gives out map ,survey data isn't accurate. I can post Google Earth ,other maps errors locally. Imagine driving aND its driving you to a bridge base that isn't there!

My area has roads shown where the county closed them off, city hall where it was 50 years ago.two hospitals, one was built by the navy, old Navy barracks.
That's why the cars have radar

Yes, if there is a detour due to recent road construction, it won't be on the satellite picture. Then I can just look at the finish line flag on the GPS, and move toward it by compass. If the GPS can't figure out an alternate route on its own.
Or whole community, being built .I will post that too

Radar ,doesn't work great.bridges, self navigation over them isnt.
Radar will keep you on the road and won't let you hit a bridge.
Lane assist currently helps to keep you in your lane without your hands on the wheel, and will give resistance if you try changing lanes without your signal or if there is an object there. Collision detection also helps prevent collisions.
It's all amazingly super cool!

Yet when it fails.

Resistance doesn't mean it will stop you but last I read the cars went ready for bridges.

I couldn't drive the car to an unlisted adress.

oy! That's why the call it lane assist. You can over ride it Lol!
We aren't that far out from autonomous vehicles, but 5g is going to play a huge role.
It's not perfect, but they are making huge gains in the industry. It's going to happen. HeIsRisen2018 Heimentioned not being able to afford a car. A poll shows most melineals don't even want to own a car, which is why Lyft and Uber are doing so well. The auto industry is responding to that trend, but I don't want to squirrel the thread.

But your right, there is a lot of work ahead for the automotive industry when it comes to artificial intelligence driving our cars for us, but it's becoming a reality and if people only understood the artificial intelligence that is already being implemented, it sounds like sci-fi!
Driving inside one big robot! That's kinda cool!

I can't afford one (right now anyway) and I'm not even sure if I could actually handle driving one yet. I'm being tested for it this summer though. :)

I'm aware of the youth.

Here's the problems.

Alexa, sing a lullaby to my child, while I watch you tube, that is possible now.

An app to walk my dog, yup.that's now.

I have followed this for a few years.we aren't meant to be idle,Parkinson aND other dementia are correlated to poor diet, lack of social face to face interaction, and exercise.

Boxing so far is the best way to reduce and even reverse parkinsons. The motor skills needed require neuron production.this also falls under controlled vehicles by a stick ,or game.

Umm I'm sorry, but how is walking your dog with an app a possibility?
paying a pet sitter that like uber tells you where they walked the dog and also if he or she pooped. you could be probably build a robot with an arm and have it grab the leash and train your dog to let it walk it. that isn't that difficult since we have robots able to jump, climb and build and have had that building type for years.

Or just do it like they did it in Back to the Future part II where the dog walks himself. :lol

I had one of those, Cheyenne would help herself at times and roam, robin who died doing that would bolt and go for a long walk and adventure. she was hit and killed at the age of 15 , six months after Cheyenne left the earth. robin was Cheyenne's leader in adventuring and it was cute watching them play.

Wait a minute, those kind of things really exist?

no Cheyenne would run off, I called walking herself. huskies love to run and escape. Cheyenne could climb a chain link fence, and or jump it

Oh okay lol I get it now. And yes I know all about huskies loving to run and escape. I had a dog that was part husky and the other part was German shepherd. Cheyenne is a really pretty name by the way. I know somebody that has a dog with that name. The other one is Cherokee. :lol

Well, I went from construction worker cut and buff from working hard 8-10 hours a day to where I've only stood up a half dozen times in the past 6 hours. Needless to say, the 6 pack is gone...
Scaredy thing is this. I am automating my job. Just like most web sites are auto generated now.
It's called meta data. In other words, it's not the data itself, but the attributes about the data. Google uses hadoop to search billions of entries in a fraction of a second. Ever wonder why you get side adds in Facebook, email etc for items you recently viewed? They do that with meta data, and it becomes predictable.
Artificial Intelligence is really only mimicking something else. Google tracks your travel patterns, so it knows where you work and where you live. It knows when your where, and with an algorithm it can start to predict behavior and offer suggestions.
It's here, it's now.

I named it.my wife wanted an indian name for her husky so I picked a tribal name which happened to be ironically also of the ancenstry of my wife, the Lakota city of Cheyenne , Wyoming. my wife has a tinge of Lakota in her.

I turned that off. I posted earlier from work while out in the air fields by the wells, and also elsewhere. lol, would you like a well number 7 from ww2 kind sir?

why yes I would, lol, I did get one suggesting from google maps asking about my visit, lol , to troy moody park. visit. meaning I read three meters and walked to a house across from it. on that route, I get that often and the other one that butts up to it. oddly the community theatre doesn't. which is on the other route.
