Lemonade season has begun!

I made my first batch of fresh lemonade last night (raspberry lemonade...yum!). And it turned out wonderful! :clap2

What's your favorite thing about lemonade season?

Firing up the grill out on the deck, and grilling some bratwursts to perfection after having boiled them in beer. I'll throw some jumbo shrimp on that grill as well, and we're good to go!

Hanging out in the backyard with my friends, enjoying the nice warm Florida sun and pleasant breeze, with a perfectly prepared bratwurst in one hand and a cold beer in the other hand.....life is good!

Oh, for me, it's a perfectly grilled burger in one hand and a margarita or long island iced tea in the other.

oh man.. I came to PC with a friend to stay with my cousin and his girlfriend for the night. We didn't do it big but we did have some corndogs by the pool. I love this season.

Lemonade sounds like an amazing idea.

Softball,
horseback riding,
a glass full of ice with a little tangy lemonade in it,
that as it melts, tastes better and better. :tongue2

You know heather, some of us were thinking this was a bit of a different announcement. Glad you are enjoying your lemonade though.

Oh, don't worry. When that announcement come, it will be in all caps with lots of exclamation points! :yes

But, my favorite drink of the season is lemonade. I just made my 2nd gallon in 2 days. I have a Mother's Day tea tomorrow at my church that I'm taking the 2nd gallon to.

Tomorrow it's going to be porksteak slathered in Sweet Baby Rays and bar-b-qued, red mashed with extra garlic, bean bacon and onion bake, and corn on the cob. It's my son Max's birthday dinner choice...he will be 10. Iced tea and lemonade are on the menu along with some banana nut bread shortcake for dessert. It's our first of the season as well, and we're really looking forward to it.

Hey, that's the second time this week I've heard of Sweet Baby Ray's". I had never heard about it before. She said it's sooooo goooood! Yum, makes me hungry

Kelli, it's a St. Louis style BBQ sauce, but it's sold in markets in many places now. I can't remember if I could find it in Loveland or not. My husband, who is from California, had not only never heard of Sweet Baby Ray's, but he had never heard of a pork steak! He can't get enough of either one now. :biggrin

What time should I be there? ;) I've also never heard of Sweet Baby Rays, but I'm always willing to try new things. :yes

It is a good sauce, but it is has a big, big emphasis on "Sweet" Baby Ray's.

The sugar content of this sauce is as much as pancake syrup, or 4tbs of the sauce = 1 serving of soda.

Not for the diabetics :biggrin
