Its okay now

I lay in darkness,
A pit of anguish, tormented day and night.
I reach for help, in many directions,
But find none.
I cry,
But no one answers.
Sadly, I place my face between my knees,
My blackened heart beats within me.

I lay in darkness,
The black hole of despair,
Looking towards the light,
When it hits me.
I will ask the light,
I will ask it to help me.

I stand in darkness,
I scream at the light, not expecting an answer.
But then it came.
It spoke.
It will help me under one condition,
I must let it in my heart.
So I let it in.
The light enters,
A hand reaches in.
It lifts me up.
Out of the darkness and into the light.

I stand arrayed in light,
All shadows chased away.
I ask the light,
I ask him who he is.
He answers, “I am the truth and the life.â€Â
Then I know,
I feel his love.
He is Jesus.

My lightened heart beats within me,
I put my face between my knees.
I do not deserve this love,
I do not deserve it.
A hand reaches,
It lifts me up.
I realize its okay,
I can see it in His eyes.
My anguish is gone now.
I stand arrayed in light.
