Jude 3, "Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.

Hay Pal, tell that other Big Green posting guy that, that is a WORK of usually going against ones own nature! (you know, the bird that posted that 'contend' scripture)
And the reason given in scripture for it NOT being done is because the MEASUREMENT (degree) of LOVE FOR CHRIST is missing! Some LOVE, but not enough! Rev. 3:16-17

Christ will not play second fiddle to any one, fold or folds, PERIOD!!! (see Rev. 2:5) The EVERLASTING GOSPEL of Rev. 14:6 is His ETERNAL WORDS of ..."IF YE LOVE [ME], KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS"! (see Deut. 6:1-9) ONLY THESE will have the "EPISTLE" (letter) of the Rightousness of Christ which IS THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL! (compare 2 Cor. 3:3)

Jim White is orthodox. I agree with him as far as the Bible Version issue goes, but I vehemently disagree with him regarding Calvinism and Catholicism.

I really resent all the anti-Catholic diatribes, cuz most of them distort what the Catholic Church really teaches----like that video, Catholicism:Crisis of Faith! What a hoot. It makes that poor Fr. Richard Chilson come out looking like a real shmuck, when the facts of the case are that they edited a lot of the interviews in order to get what they wanted. So, they found a few RC's who didn't know from nothin' and put them on video. what a fiasco. And one silly ex-nun who prayed to statues or whatever. What a riot!
If you want the Catholic position, ask THEM. Don't ask Baptists! What do they know? Go to the source. perhaps many Prots don't want their prejudices erased.
