Sounds like you want to ban a philosophy that you know nothing about. Can we condemn people to hell without knowing them? Should we ban books that we have not read? It is good to study science, philosophy, religion. math and even psychology. Have you burned any witches lately. It is Holloween.

God knows all about Buddhism and he warns us in the verse of Scripture that BB posted.

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Simple.

As far as burning witches, God tells us to love our enemies, therefore witches should be given the truth so that they can repent and become children of God. You see, everyone is a child of the devil like witches are, until they are born of the Spirit of God(born again) after which they are adopted into the family of God, being children of God. One who has never been born again is a child of the devil and is on his/her way to hell.

All those philosphies are are at odds with other denoms..... (SDA vs Catholic, Baptist vs Presbyterian, RCC vs OC, etc.........)

Sounds like you know vain deceit and are following the phosophy of man not Jesus. Jesus loved all and died for them. He did not condemn.

You give the devil so much power. Jesus spoke of love so follow Christ and He will lead you to God who has power over the devil. Why do you worship the devil and give him credit when you should be praising the Lord?

If a person is against studying philosophy, science or anything else that can make him or her more knowledgable then they are for banning that subject, book or material that the ignorant person is railing against. Out of ignorance they say it is the devil's work when they are not knowledgable of the subject, maybe all they know is the devil.

Children of the devil was used in another passage doesn't the devil live in Hell? I think all the talk about the devil and hell is shallow and Christians go to it when they can't argue logically. I thought only God makes those judgements. We need to learn and grow closer to the Lord. The devil will have no power when we walk with Him. Light repels darkness so why do we talk about it or say others are in darkness when we don't know or if we do, are we only taling about our own darkness.

Yes, focusing on darkness strengthens it or creates an illusion of it in "places" where it never existed. Therefore the focus of a son of God should be on Light and on Light alone, for darkness vanishes where Light enters.

Ask yourself ... if God's Kingdom is as whole as Its Creator and if God is Light, how can darkness exist anywhere ... or be anything but an illusion of the ego?

Therefore, those who see darkness can not be in the Kingdom which is only Light. Rather they must be in ego.

If we judge others to be in darkness, we exclude them from the Kingdom and make the Kingdom therefore incomplete. The Kingdom, however, is as Whole as God ...

Therefore, if we place others outside off the Kingdom, we prove (primarily to ourselves, for God knows us to be in the Kingdom) that we can not see the Kingdom and thus the Kingdom of God is lost for us too!

Judge not lest ye be judged was said for a reason!!! So cease listening to the ego and cease justifying the unjustifiable, but do what Jesus told us to do.

Indeed, BB. Specimen such as the selection mentioned in Ephesians 5:5-7 may have no place in the Kingdom. If you would read my post somewhat more attentively and would understand what I have written, you would no doubt see that. It applies to them too. For it is all inclusive.

And if you could see the more often than not frightened child inside many so-called criminals, BB, and if you could just for a while look past a man's transgressions, and see his true self, you would see quite another reality. A human being is not his deeds, BB. His "sins" can be washed away ... in a New York second. All it takes is Light.

Open your mind for just a moment and see if there is perhaps not more truth to what I say than what you thought at first sight. Remember ... one has to relinquish the things of mind (Luke 14:33)!

I agree a man can have His sin's washed away by the blood of Christ.

Not all men love the light... and not "all men" will be saved.
