Alright so let me see if I can ask this question without making anybody's brain hurt too badly. So first of all Jesus was the Son of God, but Mary gave birth to Him. Which always brings up the question why did He exactly to choose to be brought into the world that way? Was it to show that even though He was the promised Messiah that He was human like everybody else, or was that for a whole different reason altogether? I think I heard the phrase about Him humbling Himself to be born as a helpless infant so maybe it had something to do with that. So anyway we have Mary and Joseph as His earthly mother and father so does that mean that Joseph is really His stepfather due to the fact that God is His Father? Then again, we're all called children of God so that makes things even more confusing. Maybe it's because Jesus is more important to God to be called the Son of God since He was born holy and perfect. So that brings up another question, who does Jesus look like? God or Mary? I wonder what sort of DNA He had to have had. Because He was born of the holy spirit inside Mary but yet she is married to Joseph and Joseph is His stepfather?? And I do believe that Jesus also had brothers and sisters so that makes things even more confusing. Were they His full siblings or half siblings? Not to mention that again we're all brothers and sisters in Christ, and we have been adopted into the family of God. Does that make Jesus our brother as well then?? Alright, I realize that I asked more than one original question and my brain is really steaming so I hope that I didn't make it worse for you, and I am probably way overthinking this but I am so confused right now that it's not even funny.:confused(scratch that, it is :lol)

Well, you do have it right in that Jesus did choose coming to us in that manner. I hope you'll accept scripture.

Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
In Isa 43:11 I (Jesus), even I, am the LORD (LORD in upper font is Jehovah - God); and beside me there is no saviour.
Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Php 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Thanks, but what about all of my other questions...let me guess, you're just as clueless as me right? I really need to start reading my message Bible again. Sorry, lately I've gotten lately.

I can probably answer parts of your questions as I get the time; I've been making out my taxes. Sure is fun if you know what I really mean. :)

Don't et me upset the apple cart on this but this is not a well thought out question because He divested Himself of all Deity. Think about that for a moment, the God that so awesome, He is found throu8ghout the universe, controlling the position and the path of all the planets. and suddenly He strips Himself f all majesty and power and is found inside a one celled being entering the egg of a thirteen to fifteen year old Betrothed woman. There is nothing ou8r God cannot do but God, before the advent, had not a body nor a face, He is a Spirit Being! Jesus, without the beard would have favored Mary.

God or Mary? I wonder what sort of DNA He had to have had. Because He was born of the holy spirit inside Mary but yet she is married to Joseph and Joseph is His stepfather??

Of course Joseph was, The angle informed him of the baby was a Holy Being and to marry her and He so respected God that thuey did not consummate their union until Jesus was born.

Jesus, by the standards of the earth did have younger brothers and it is likely there were female children to go with the seven brothers. I may be wrong on the number but the number is given in one of tne gospels.

Really? I thought He had at least one brother named James and a bunch of unnamed sisters? Or am I mistaken?

I'm sorry, but Matt. 13:55-56 lists four brothers and then says that He had sisters, no number given. But being plural there were at least two, maybe three sisters.

Oh ok, I'm sorry I misread that. I thought that you said that He didn't have any brothers and sisters by earth's standard. My mistake.

Jesus family tree would be that of the Spiritual first being a spirit and called the Son of God. Jesus is the word of God being equal to God as the same Spirit, but the difference was made flesh so the light of God could shine in the darkness of mans hearts, John 1:1-5. The Literal being human/flesh side of Christ had to be birthed like all humans that come into the world. Mary, being of the lineage of the house of David was chosen by God and this is why she is blessed above all women because she was the one God picked. Mary was a vessel used of God for His perfect plan of salvation by His grace through that of the human sacrifice of Christ that through Him all who will believe in Him will have life everlasting.

The lineage was a Godly one throughout Mary's Lineage. When Mary and Joseph did marry they had children together, which in the literal half siblings to Jesus, but yet Spiritual as all are his brother and sister and mother to all who will do the will of God, Matthew 12:46-50.

Alright, I think I understand all that but I'm really curious to know the answer to my DNA question. Was Jesus' different due to the fact that He was the Son of God? And who did He look like? God, or His earthly parents?

No one can answer that one because there is no sample to test.

True, but it's something really interesting that I often think about.

I think His DNA would be unusual since Mary coupled with no man. I'm not sure that His wouldn't show only the maternal side of Him. Maybe the male side of Mary, according to the read from the DNA but I'm glad there is nothing to test because people would preserve it and would worship it.

But if there was DNA to test that would mean that it came from Jesus Himself wouldn't it? And aren't we supposed to worship anything that has to do with Him unless it's like a picture or graven image of Him? DNA is something that comes from the blood of somebody's body I do believe if I'm not mistaken and in that case it would have been Jesus' actual physical body and that's who we're supposed to worship right?

I don't think so. What we worship is now in Heaven and without the life giving blood He lives. He lost enough Blood from the 39 lashes to kill a man and many that received that punishment did die. And then, to make matters worse a guard pierced His body to the heart to insure He was dead, draining the water sack that protects the Heart inside us and when He returned to appeared He directed Thomas to put hid hand inside the wound and believe. There was not any life giving blood but He lived. If someone saved a sample of the blood and people worshiped it, it would be Idol Worship because all that is Jesus, after the forty day return, ascended to Heaven.

There are a lot of things we question, but really no answers can be found.

Jesus came into the world as being a Jew and being from Nazareth he would of been olive skinned, but yet darkened by the sun as he walked everywhere he went. Jesus observed the laws of Moses as in Leviticus 19:27 where they were not allowed to trim the sides of their hair or beards. Also in Isaiah 53:2 Jesus had no outward beauty to attract anyone to him, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. He looked like any ordinary man of that era

I stand corrected then you brought up an excellent point. However, on an entirely different note scientists now believe they have found the shroud of Jesus. Since it is more than a thousand years old, it would more than likely not be able to produce any DNA sampling from it so I do believe we are safe from people worshiping it. I'm not sure about the shroud itself though. Hopefully not.
