Lewis began this string with the best of intention but has become trapped, right now, in one of Satan's cute little traps. I have found that the exploration of this or that word's common usage in scriptural times can be both useful and confusing, often at the same time. Jesus instructed us that we were to believe as a small child believes. We are also taught by the Word that God uses the simple to confuse the intelligent, the weak to defeat the strong and so on.

I see so many, today, confusing the issue of what Islam believes with educated explanations of the root of words and actually, that has nothing to do nothing. (No, not misstated, just simple Cowboy Truth.)

The Jesus, a.k.a. Isa, of the Qu'ran is not the Jesus of the Bible and this, merging, of the Bible and the Qu'ran is filth personified. This is the One World Church Movement and is of it's father, Satan.

In the first place, Muhammad, Mohammad or however it's correctly spelled did not write the Qu'ran. He was not literate! These writings are what people, imperfect people, remember and I suggest that without the inspiration and without the absolute control of God is filled with the recorder's thoughts... nonsense!

This fighting with Lewis on this matter is silly.

We are told to believe in God as a small child. That does not mean we become ignorant about language and many other things. That is one of the many devices that satan uses against us. If we are ignorant about the very arguments that will be put before us by a atheist of any ilk we just look well, ignorant.
My post was not to hurt Lewis in anyway. Just the opposite. When I came to this thread I was very ignorant about several things that others here have graciously helped me out with and I fully expect that there will be more.
 
Thank you Deborah, but Taylor I started so that Islam's contradictions in the Quran. Taylor there is nothing worse than a Christian who does not know anything. I have seen with my own eyes and ears Christians getting swallowed up by muslims because the Christians knew nothing about Islam. You see they can't fool or out talk me Taylor because I have studied them. There is a pastor here in Philadelphia named Gino Jennings, he is the only pastor that I know of who is not afraid to confront the muslims and he does and they always end up running, because they can't deal with this mans knowledge of the Bible and the Quran. If you want to see him deal with them go here and take your pick.

Another example of this mindless zombie behavior you see in Muslims is the Shiite Muslim "holiday" of Ashoura, commemorating the death of Muhammad's grandson Husayn. Some Shiite Muslims stab themselves in the head on this "holiday", making a cut on their heads and beating the wound so it keeps bleeding. And the "bleeders" then walk around in groups yelling. And the cruelest and worst practice of Muslims is their practice of genital cutting (aka: FGC, Female Genital Cutting), genital mutilation, of young girls in Muslim countries. It has been estimated that approximately 2 million infants, young girls, and women are subjected to this painful and needless practice each year worldwide. FGC is typically done without anesthesia or antibiotics.

Indeed! They not only tend to get away from me when I begin comparing the Qu'ran to the Bible but there is an even more pronounced difference. ( have never been threatened by a Chrisitan, a JW nor an LDS with death but I cannot say that about the ¿Peaceful? Muslims.

I live near a musallah. they are quiet but I do wonder. I haven't talked to them. I see a few muslims on the city grid. there is a duplex that as both apartments rented to muslims. I met one once. he was wondering what I was doing in his yard.i guess the shirt and name and the machine wasn't obvious enough.

Since I am no longer mobile my contact, during the past 8 or so years has been restricted but when I research on line the difference I find is becoming more pronounced as their ¿footing? becomes more sure. Instances such as challenging an obvious Government Worker is not all that unlike telling one of my favorite type of farmers that he must sell his land to them and must move his Hogs, immediately, so they can build their Mosk.

The Jewish in me screams every time I eat a BLT and the Gentile side of me strangles the Jewish side... but only until I swallow the last of my bacon. ;-) The very idea that one can move in here, where the Jew has been catching hell for a couple of centuries, and suddenly think Sharia Law rules? I have had nearly seven decades of fun pushing our real heritage on my pretend Arlan relatives but that is a privilege I earned through my mother's refusal to pretend.

There is a small store just up the street owned by one of the stupidest Muslims in the world and since he bought it with American Tax Money, I DO NOT TRADE THERE. He thinks he dislikes me because I am an American Veteran, he saw my pins. The fool knows nothing of my ancestry nor does he have the brains to sit down and converse with people... a sad, sad, man. But our peoples had better start studying God's Word, they are not going to be happy watching their wives and daugfhters being raped before their heads are loped off.
 
There is a Mosque up the street from me and it's is a lot of them, and I have never seen so many white Muslims in my life, but they belong to the mosque up the street that is about 90 percent black.The remaining percent is white.
 
I've spoken to a couple Muslims online. These were friendly. One was trying to learn about the Bible and was asking me questions like how was it put together and stuff. I had to do some research before I could answer some of his questions.

I have muslims in my family, plus I know a bunch and there about 20 of them living on my block

That is the one thing I've looked for but have never found. Be sure not t let that one get away, you might be able to lead him to the foot of the cross.
 
I think I work with a muslim. im not sure. I might just ask her. if she isn't then she is likely a devout hindu. but her last name is khan.
 
Everybody has to read the Islamic Antichrist by Joel Rosenberg. This isn't a wish list, but a must have list. Amazing, absolutely amazing. It really brings prophecy together about who and what is driving Islam.

There is absolutely no comparison between the King James Bible and the Quran.

The first is a faithful,accurate, word-for-word English translation of the true Hebrew and Greek Bible texts, and had been held in the highest respect by Christians for over 400 years. In fact it was "THE BIBLE" for hundreds of years. IMHO, it is the only acceptable and reliable English translation today.

The Quran, on the other hand is a direct attack on both Judaism and Christianity, therefore everything derived from the Bible has been twisted and turned on its head. The Quran was meant to turn people away from the Gospel, and both Christians and Jews are described as infidels it.
 
Those who hold to KJV-onlyism are in effect making the same type of mistake Islam assumes when it says the Quran must be read in Arabic. As God's Word, the message of the Old and New Testaments isn't subject to, or confined to any man made language.
