Qasim Said: Whats confusing about what i said. The Quran was not written by Muhammed, nor by any other human, it was revealed to him by God, through the angel Gabriel. The words were Gods, by the angel was dictacting them to Muhammed (peace be upon him). Just like the Injil was revealed to the Prophet Jesus, and the Taurat was revealed to Moses.

What does the Torah say about its own origin?

Why did some Jews question the Mosaic authorship of the Torah?

http://groups.msn.com/judaismfaqs/whydi ... torah.msnw

"Deuteronomy 34 describes the death of Moses. It is difficult to attribute the description of a funeral to the deceased."

Perhaps you are wrong about the Torah? Perhaps you are wrong about the Quran?

The Quran is the complete and infallible word of Almighty Allah, revealed to the prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) throught the angel Gabriel. The proof that it is from God is the book itself. Read it. It is a miracle of Miracles.

When I read the Quran I found it sickening and repulsive. The worst scripture I have ever read. (Hindu scripture is the best I have found, but that is just my opinion)

I think you misunderstood me, the Tawrat that was revealed to Moses (peace be upon him), is not the Old testament neither the first five books of Moses. So i agree with what you are saying about qusstioning the authorship of what we have today. But this is not the torah as revealed to Moses. Infact most admit that even Moses did not write those first five books let alone God.

I agree. Then who wrote it if it wasnt Moses?

I believe thats parts of the torah may be in what we have today in the old testament, but it is not the revealed book that Moses had directly from God, which is the book we believe in.

The Tawraat: The Jewish Scripture

The common title for the whole Jewish scripture in the Qur’an is at-Tawraat, "the Law". It is said to be specifically the kitab (book) which was given to Moses (Surah 11.110). Its integrity and existence in the hands of the Jews at the time of Muhammad is confirmed in this verse:

  • How will they make you their judge seeing they have the Tawraat, wherein is Allah’s judgment, then afterwards turn their backs. Surah 5.46

This passage quite plainly teaches that the Jews (specifically named as the people being referred to in Surah 5.44) actually have the Tawraat. The words used in the original Arabic text confirm this. The book is said to be inda hum - "with them". It is quite clear that the Qur’an, in this verse, teaches that the book was in their possession at the time of Muhammad. As the verse speaks of Jews who were actually coming to him for judicial decisions it is obvious that it speaks of Jews who were in the environment of Medina. The passage goes on to describe the Tawraat as a "guidance and light" which the former prophets used to apply the law of God to the Jews, their rabbis and judges (Surah 5.47). Further appeals are made to judge by what has been revealed therein.

Throughout their history the Jews of the world have known only one scripture - the books of the Old Testament as we know them today. We have already seen that as far back as the second century before Christ (eight centuries before Muhammad’s time) the Hebrew Old Testament had already been translated into Greek in what is known as the Septuagint. The New Testament scriptures quote from the Old Testament books at length and our earliest extant manuscripts also date centuries before Islam. There can be no doubt, then, that the scripture to which the Qur’an refers can only be the Old Testament.

The Qur’an always speaks of the former scriptures with great reverence. It would hardly exhort the Jews to judge by them if they were corrupted and unreliable. Significantly it uses the very word, Tawraat (Torah), which the Jews themselves use to describe the first five books of Moses in the Bible.

I would be hard for Jesus to be a Muslim as Islam did not come about 500 years later. It woudl also be hard fo Jesus to be a Christian since that label came 50 some years after his death and ressurection. Also "Christian" means little Christ. So how can Christ be a little version of himself?
Jesus was a Jew.

Hi qasim. What it all boils down to is that we know we are right because God has poured out his Holy Spirit on true believers in Jesus Christ. That experience is for you too :)

No, he was Jamaican

As far as I am concerned, Jesus has no denomination. He is for all of us, and he is a part of all of us. So, don't come in here preaching about what Jesus WAS.

Or be on the receiving end, God pours out his wrath on all unbelievers, Muslims do not believe Jesus died for their sins therefore they will die in their sins.

Where you come from: Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated. JACOB, became ISRAEL. You know - your arch enemy. ESAU? Need I say more? Just so everybody knows, it's ok for a Muslim to LIE as long as the goal is domination of Islam. Twist all you like - in the end, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that JESUS is Lord. Including yours. And Amen.

Within Shi'ite Islamic tradition,[1] the concept of Taqiyya (التقية - 'fear, guard against')[2] refers to a dispensation allowing believers to conceal their faith when under threat, persecution or compulsion.[3] The word "al-Taqiyya" literally means: "Concealing or disguising one's beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies at a time of imminent danger, whether now or later in time, to save oneself from physical and/or mental injury." A one-word translation would be "Dissimulation." [4]

In Islam, lying or omissions for the 'greater good,' according to a strict Islamist philosophy is not only acceptable, it is holy and blessed work. al-Taqiyya is a strategy outlined in the Hadiths and supported by various interpretations of some of the Suras in the Koran.

al-Taqiyya is a policy whereby a Muslim may lie, deceive or omit critical truths if it promotes the spreading of Islam AND the conquest of the non-Muslim world. According to William P. Welty, Ph.D., al-Taqiyya is:

"The Islamic principle of lying for the sake of Allah. Falsehoods told to prevent denigration of Islam, to protect oneself, or to promote the cause of Islam are sanctioned by the Qur'an, including lying under penalty of perjury in testimony before the United States Congress, lying or making distorted statements to the media such as claiming that Islam is a religion of peace and deceiving fellow Muslims when the one lying has deemed them to be apostates."

And here is the definition from an Islam encyclopedia website:

"The word 'al-Taqiyya' literally means:'Concealing or disguising one's beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies...'"

Necormancer has a supernatural ability to bring long-dead forum discussion threads back to life. After having been flogged to death the thread may have been deceased for many years, and bringing it back may have scant relevance to the current topic, yet Necromancer will unexpectedly exhume the thread’s rotting corpse, and strike horror in the forum as its grotesque form lurches into the discussion. The monster, instantly recognized by all who knew it in life, seems at first to breathe and have a pulse, but, alas, it is beyond Necromancer’s skill to fully restore the thread’s original vitality. The hideous apparition may frighten away some of the weaker Warriors or Warriors badly wounded in former battles, but the thread is only a shadow of its former self and very quickly expires.

Muslims are Anti-Christ OOPS'

The crapola I get from some of the guys coming outta prison is that Jesus was a Muslim cuz a Muslim submits to God; ergo, everybody's a Muslim...God forbid. I tell them they are ignorant of history cuz the Islamic garbage didn't even start until 600+ years after the first churches were planted in Africa.

Oy, they are so crazy already= the Trinity is Father, Son and Mary; Satan pees in the ears at night; you have to blow water out your nose in the a.m., to dislodge Satan; drinking camel's urine.
Oyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

The logic behind that is a joke. For example; a Christian could say "every Muslim is a Christian because they believe in God" or "every Vegetarian is a Muslim because they dont eat pork" I for one am not a Muslim but am a Vegetarian (I'll admit that i really miss eggs & bacon for breakfast) Muslims keep trying to use passages from our Holy Bible as evidence for their faith, well in the Bible it says that Christ drunk wine, how do Muslims explain that? By calling the Bible corrupted. If its corrupted...stop quoting from it.
