To begin Job chapter 20, let us go to:

Job 20:29 KJV
This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.

By starting at verse 29 we know that Zophar is describing the life of a wicked man. This is an opinion of Zophar, and his thoughts are in error (what God says at end of the book of Job, and what Job says in his response to chapter 20).

Job 20:1 KJV
Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
2 Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.

It is interesting to read that Zophar is using his thoughts and not the revelation of the voice of God.

3 I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.

4 Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,

It is never about what we think or what is common knowledge among our friends, but about what God says. It is hard for us to realize we could make a mistake.

5 That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?

6 Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;

7 Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?

At this point hopefully we can see Zophar's theology.
8 He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

It appears that Zophar believes a wicked man just fades into nothingness. No eternal punishment for sins. No use to repent, beccause a man's spirit can just disappear at physical death.

Without discernment, a person can come to the book of Job and establish all sorts of wrong doctrine.

This is really what the book of Job is all about:
The friends present heresy.

Job counters with truth.

God answers by saying - (the friends do not speak truth, but Job does speak truth).

In today's world, the friends doctrine is still taught and believed. God says believe Job, and let Job pray for your error.

Today we explain:
Jesus was / is the sacrifice for sins.
Eternal life is in Christ Jesus work.

Then Job hints strongly at eternal life:
Job has 20 kids (10 saved and 10 alive).
Statements.

Luke 5:32 KJV
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance

If God was predominately involved in getting rid of the wicked, then he would have a lot to do.

God is involved in looking over his people with discipline. God did not zap the friends, but worked on restoration.

Sure the knowledge of all this is dim, but we are not blind. If Job counters a friends statements, then we understand more. Also pre law is not the same as kingdom teaching, and pre law is not the law either. I am not able to define all this to the smallest levels.

Conflicts and resolutions are a part of what happens in the book of Job. Job the man is part of solving the problems in the book. Jesus the son of man resolved eternity.

Brilliant deduction. The study of Job's 3 buddies is not a study to glean any facts from them other than as you have noted, why they might be off in their thinking.
5 That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment

True. For many years, when reading Job, I had a very hard time understanding WHY GOD put the whammy on him. It was not until many years later, seeing the "personal" reality of matters taught by Paul, of evil present being with him, (Romans 7:21), of sin dwelling in his flesh (Romans 7:17-20), of every manner of concupiscence in his mind prompted by sin's adverse reactions to the law causing internal evil, (Romans 7:7-13), even of Paul having a messenger of Satan in his own flesh, (2 Cor. 12:7), and being the chief of sinners after salvation, (1 Tim. 1:15) did I then understand WHY GOD has free reign to deal with any person, believer or unbeliever, in exceptionally harsh terms. Yes, our flesh is exactly as Paul stated, against the Spirit, and the Spirit, as JOB so amply shows us IS against the flesh, Gal. 5:17.

The Kindness of God and the Harshness of God do go hand in hand. As much as Job or any of us who believe LIKE and PREFER to see God only as our Divine Benefactor this is simply not the case. He is both KIND and ADVERSE to "us."

Getting down inside, internally, to where Paul landed in 2 Cor. 12:7, we can lay that claim directly upon Jesus HARD LINE FACT of Mark 4:15 and some stray believer here or there might actually see WHO God is really dealing harshly with in JOB. It was NOT Job, but Job's adversary in the flesh. No different of adversary than Jesus shows us in Mark 4:15 and no different of an adversary than Paul shows us in his own flesh in 2 Cor. 12:7 and no different of an adversary than John shows us in 1 John 3:8.

And, at this point of understanding, there is a legitimate OH NO!!! moment for anyone who sees this. For a long time I NEVER understood this not only when reading Job, but when encountering my own life's adversity, where God WAS (and still IS) very very much against ME. Or, so I thought, just me. It was not just me that God Deals with nor was it just Job nor was it just Paul. God DOES engage the adversary with all of us by "arousing" that adversary into "resistance" to God and to us in the process.

When this arrives at Elihu's discourse (who spoke TRUTHFULLY) about God and about Job, we'll find that Job's answers about wickedness and the wicked were also in error. Job saw himself as ONLY JOB. This is not how scripture or how God sees us.

Without discernment, a person can come to the book of Job and establish all sorts of wrong doctrine.
This is really what the book of Job is all about:
The friends present heresy.
Job counters with truth.
God answers by saying - (the friends do not speak truth, but Job does speak truth).
Job does speak truthfully, TO A POINT. Job's Laments were legit. Job's sorrow, suffering, all very real, dire matters. I have been (close enough) in his shoes myself and made the same laments, WITHOUT understanding them as to WHY. Job's questions were the same as mine. And I suspect that many of us have been in the same shoes. This part of faith in Christ is not easy to speak of or to share. There is resistance that comes immediately to the forefront when the curtains are peeled back.

And this GOD HIMSELF gets into in great detail in Job. In fact it's one of the most interesting stretches of scripture in the entire Bible. I'll wait til you get there.
In today's world, the friends doctrine is still taught and believed. God says believe Job, and let Job pray for your error.

Job's right frame of mind comes at the end. He saw, and when he did, he ABHORRED himself. I know exactly how and why Job made that conclusion, today, from personal experience and from Hearing God Speak to these matters in JOB. At the outset, Job thought he did everything right. Had all the jots and tittles covered, was doing good, acting good, making the right moves, sacrifices, prayers, etc. or so he thought, in God Eyes. But that turned out to NOT be the case nor did it avail him to dissuade God from the adverse/evil actions God took with him.

Was there a good conclusion for Job? Yes. But I can assure you that Job's frame of mind at the end was changed considerably than from where his journey into sufferings began. And the "pain" remained for him as long as he lived. There is no removal of those scars, internally. They are deep and vivid reminders of the Sovereignty of God.
Today we explain:
Jesus was / is the sacrifice for sins.
Eternal life is in Christ Jesus work.

I would comment on the above to observe that Christ's sacrifice for sin(s) is not as extensive as we think it to be. IF we read 2 Cor. 12:7, we'll see a party that sacrifice does NOT apply to. IF we read Mark 4:15 or 1 John 3:8 or many dozens of others I could cite, we'll see His sacrifice is NOT as encompassing as we might see with surface views.

Paul elaborates on this exact matter at great length, particularly in Romans 9:18-24 and shows how "we" are constructed. We are basically constructed in what I might term "stereo" meaning TWO channels. Those channels are called good/evil, a vessel of honor AND a vessel of dishonor, BOTH bound into the same lump, the same POT of clay Paul called "me." IT is an eye opener, once seen, personally. But alas, only God can open a believers eyes to this matter.

Job has 20 kids (10 saved and 10 alive).
Statements.

You brought up an interesting footnote in that. I may share about that further. It ties in directly to the deeper matters of the "elder/younger" teachings in the scriptures, the "least and the greatest," the "first and last," the "cursed and blessed," the "natural and the Spiritual." It's quite entirely fascinating, and is part of what makes the mark of scripture legitimate, cover to cover.

It is the Mark of Gods Words.

Jeremiah 5:26 KJV
For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.
27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.
28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

The wicked have (1) prevelant existence during life?

The righteous have (2) prevelant existences during life?

Both the wicked and the righteous will exist for eternity. One in heaven and the other in hell.
29 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

There are two times of judgement in our life:
Here
And
Throne judgement (deciding heaven or hell)

The righteous are thinking of eternity now and are under the discipline of God.

The ungodly are waiting till death / judgement to totally realize what is going on (parable of rich man again).

The error of Zophar is just looking at the wicked as non eternal (or at least one error).

Job 20:9 KJV
The eye also which saw him shall see himno more; neither shall his place any more behold him.
10 His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.
11 His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.
12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;
13 Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:
14 Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.
15 He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
16 He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him.
17 He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.

The wicked (on the whole do not suffer here and now.

More later

To look at people suffer is complex. There is a difference in the age the person exists in, and if a prophetic future is being presented. Are you speaking of flesh or mind?

Jesus was to come guiltless, and suffer tremendously. If one relaxes, a comparison between Jesus and Job can be seen. Every little detail is not seen precisely, but there is a parallel.

For instance:
Acts 8:33 kjv
In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

Isaiah 53:10
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see hisseed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

To look at the book of Job (without hearing Jesus mentioned) is to miss a lot.

I am going to finally say:
A person can prosper spiritually, while he suffers physically.

I believe I already mentioned Jesus had joy to help endure the suffering.

Zophar does not think according to complex rubric.

Or in Mississippi talk:
He ain't a deep thanker / thinker.

Edit: He probably is now thinking way beyond eddif.
Prayed for by Job
Preached to by Jesus in Abraham's bosom (I suppose)
If there was not a great gulf between us I would apologize.

Job 20:18 KJV
That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.
19 Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;
20 Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.
21 There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.
22 In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
23 When he is about to fill his belly, Godshall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.
24 He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.
25 It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him
26 All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.
27 The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
28 The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
29 This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.

Zophar continues to say the wicked suffers, but Job the declared righteous suffered. Jesus the righteous died for the sins of mankind.

Maybe a comment from king David
Psalms 73:3 KJV
For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.
5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.

David had more to say, but let us hear Job’s response.

Job 21:1 KJV
But Job answered and said,
2 Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
3 Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.
4 As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?
5 Mark me, and be astonished, and lay yourhand upon your mouth.
6 Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.
7 Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?

Already Job is agreeing with David.

Job 21:8 KJV
8 Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
9 Their houses are safe from fear, neither isthe rod of God upon them.
10 Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
11 They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
12 They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
13 They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.

Opposite of Zophar:
Job says the wicked has physical life, but the ways of God are not even desired.

eddif

Now Job switches to the Godly person.
Job 21:15 KJV
What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?

We are saved by the work of God. We are not under the council of the wicked.

16 Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
......
Back to the wicked:
The wicked are sometimes taken away in God’s wrath (Sodom and Gomorrah)

17 How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! God distributeth sorrows in his anger.
18 They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
......,,,
Back to Godly
God chastens those he loves. That in the day of the Lord Jesus they might be saved. Knowledge comes to his children, and not sudden death. We are convinced of coming judgement
19 God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it.
20 His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

Job 21:21 KJV
For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?

Job is crying out for wisdom. The previous chapter by Zophar was a presentation of Zophar!s thoughts
Job 20:2-3 , but Job is showing concern for children. Zophar had everything locked in his mind, but Job is considering the future of the godly and wicked.

Job 21:22 KJV
Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.

Job is not depending on his thoughts, but God’s thoughts.

Job 21:23 KJV
One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
24 His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
(The wicked)

Job 21:25 KJV
And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.

(Jesus was acquainted with sorrow - lsaiah)

Job 21:26 KJV
They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.

Job is saying (in verse 26) that both the wicked and Godly die.

Job 21:27 KJV
Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.

Job actually seems to have a revelation of Zophar’s / Satan’s scheme of simplistic thought.

Job 21:28 KJV
For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?
29 Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
30 That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
31 Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?
32 Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
33 The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
34 How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?

Verses 28-34 show the false device of Zophar:
In where we stand now we see that the gospel might come to the wicked and he may repent.
Or in other words
Zophar and Jobs friends are trying to lock Job into being wicked, but Job sees redemption from God.

eddif

I suppose before we listen to another round of accusation of Job (in chapter 22) we can look at the source of all these negative words. By leaping to the last book of the Bible we gain insight. A Biblical concept can go across a whole bunch of context areas.
Revelation 12:9 kjv
9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

At the time of the book of Job it appears the accusations were in full force. The friends of Job are constantly accusing someone we know as a servant of God.

Job Chapter 22
Job 22:1 kjv
1. Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
2. Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?

The theology is already starting to slip. God identified John as his servant. Job is not self serving (no matter what the non truth friends say).

This thread continues.

Job 22.3 kjv
3. Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?
4. Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?

So how will Job answer?

Job 23.1 kjv
1. Then Job answered and said,
2. Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning
3. Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!

Basically you see that Job has not declared himself righteous but he groans to have Gods judgement.

Job 22:5 kjv Eliphaz
5. Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?
6. For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
7. Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.

Job 23:6 kjv Job speaking
6. Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.

We already know God had declared Job as his servant and upright in his actions. And Job knows.
7. There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
8.. Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
9.On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:

Job also seems to know he needs help getting his plea heard. His flesh can not accomplish the plea. Today we know Jesus intercedes for us

This is taken from the Keys of Job found in the Opened Bible KJV that I study from.

The key to Job is the word "sovereignty". The basics question of the book is, why do the righteous suffer if God is all loving and all powerful? Suffering itself is not the central theme. The focus is what Job learns from his suffering and the sovereignty of God over all creation.

The debate in in chapters 3-37 regards whether God would allow this suffering to happen to a person who is innocent. The oversimplified solutions offered by Job's three friends are simply inadequate. Elihu's claim that God can use suffering to purify the righteous is closer to the mark. The conclusion at the whirlwind is that God is sovereign and worthy of worship in whatever He chooses to do. Job must learn to trust in the goodness and power of God in adversity by enlarging his concept of God.

Even this perfect man, 1:1, needs to repent when he becomes proud and self-righteous. He has to come to the end of his own resources, humble himself and acknowledge the greatness and majesty of the Lord. Job teaches that God is Lord of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth, Phil 2:10. He is omniscient, omnipotent and good. As such, His ways are sometimes incomprehensible to men and women, but He can always be trusted.

Without the divine perspective in chapters 1, 2 and in 38-42, chapters 3-37 are a mystery. Job does not have access to chapters 1 and 2, but he is responsible to trust God when all appearances are contrary. Suffering is not always associated with sin as God often sovereignly uses it to test and teach.

Chapter 42 records the climax of the long and difficult struggle Job has with himself, his wife, his friends and even his God. Upon Job's full recognition of the utter majesty and sovereignty of the Lord, he repents and no longer demands an answer as to why of his plight.

The Christ of Job
Job acknowledges a Redeemer. 19:25-27, and cries out for a Mediator, 9:33; 25:4; 33:23. The book raises problems and questions which are answered perfectly in Christ who identifies with our sufferings, Hebrews 4:15. Christ is the believers Life, Redeemer, Mediator and Advocate.

Job 22:8 kjv Eliphaz
8. But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.
9. Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.
10. Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
11. Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.
12. Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

Eliphaz is saying Jpb is so distant from God that there is no communication about his dead children ( arms of fatherless)

Job 23:10 Kjv Job speaking
10. But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
11. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
12. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

Job is sure that God knows. Job is standing on his belief.

14. The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
15. The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.
16. In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
17. For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.

Job shows that those who talk about God not seeing through clouds are really the ones that want to hide their sins,”’

Pompeii was discovered and the sin that took place there was seen. Be sure your sins will find you out. Egypt would try and erase records they did not want reported.

Job 22:17 kjv
17. Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?
18. Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
19. The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.
20. Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.
21. Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee
22. Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.
23. If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
24. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
25. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.
26. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.
27. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
28. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
29. When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
30. He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

Eliphaz finished his speech. He has said :
If you can cover your sins and get money and know God with words you are in good shape

How does Job respond.
Job24:3 kjv
3.They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.

Job is not forgetting sins but listing them

4. They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
5. Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.

Job is describing the sins of the unrighteous, and not skipping over them like Eliphaz did.,
The unrighteous go about their life only concerned flora their on family with no concern in how they get gain.

6. They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
7. They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
8. They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
9. They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.

Everyone is a source of gain.

10. They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
11. Which make oil within their walls, andtread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
12. Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.

The wicked are not being bothered by God, although they do not follow the path of God .

13. They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
14. The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
15. The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.

All these people think they are getting away with sin, and Job is observing this.

16. In the dark they break into houses Which they marked for themselves in the daytime; They do not know the light.
17. For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
18. He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
19. Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those whichhave sinned.

Death awaits their life but the resurrection will come and the books will be opened.

20. The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
21. He evil entreateth the barren thatbeareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
22. He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
23. Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes areupon their ways.
24. They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
25. And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?

Job is finished. He says the wicked is safe while alive,

King David will talk about how he did not get away with sin.
