So one Saturday morning - I was living just off-campus at Baylor University - some guys came over and said

"Did you know Phil Keagy and Love song are going to play at Miller Chapel today?"

No way, I thought, but calling Baptist Student Union, they confirmed it. Miller Chapel was literally a block from my apartment - we headed over - looking around.
Sure enough, a couple VW vans pulled up - the musicians looking around - we waved 'em in, helped set up their equipment - and sent some to call others to come to the concert. It was amazing.
After it was over, we helped 'em pack up their equipment, when it was done -- Phil Keaggy came back with just an accoustic guitar -- sat in a pew just singing, playing and sharing; I was sitting cross-legged in the pew right next to him. I never knew such things could be done with a guitar. He played by himself a good 45 minutes. I felt caught up to the third heaven.
This song is a poem by C S Lewis that Keaggy set to music:

Does anyone else listen to Vocaloid? *crickets* Aight, guess I'm just a weeb.
This song has no meaning to Americans like me, cuz it's about Japan post WWII, but it's still super good and super well composed and I just keep listening to it.

Pretty good for a MEANINGLESS SONG, questdriven -- I too do not know any Japanese -- I was in Japan for half an hour -- waiting for another plane after coming from a year in Korea, went on to San Francisco

This thread has EVERYTHING - Pearl Jam doing LAST KISS - wow, I used to dance to that - twirling this younger girl around; it would probably give me a heart attack to do that these days...

many good memories of good songs in this thread
