I like egg. Make of it what you will, God bless you
I love eggs. And my comment stands.

I'm just curious as to why one continues to make irrelevant statements and never tries to explain any of them when challenged.

Can you explain this verse?

I am sure you can read the bible just like me. Ask God and He will make it plain
what you might be missing, God bless you.
By the way, God is our teacher, not me, I can only share how it strikes me, but it
seems you need to hear from the Lord, God bless you.

Bizarre? What is bizarre saying an egg is an egg? Do you think an egg is not egg?
Now that would be truly a contradiction, defining something and then denying in 3 words later.
Have you ever heard the sound of one hand clapping?
If you know the answer, there is a possibility of progress, if not, God bless you, we cannot really
exchange things meaningfully.

time outtttt what is the big fuss about who has the best theolgy or who has the better grammar ? i have seen good points but i see alot of your wrong i am right ..what does this have to with sanctification and justification :confused

Strike 3.
I never said that I did not agree on the English translation.

What I said was that your ‘translation’ below is incorrect. Because it is incorrect in English and Greek. And proved it is incorrect.
And I showed you how reading on shows YOUR translation is incorrect.
You have difficulty with English translations.
That is my point.
I'm saying the Bible is a complete thought and can be trusted in any language ...

I agree!!!
But some base their theology on grammar...
Don't know why.

On the scales of justification, righte

Sounds so nice in Italian.
I use the Italian Bible as often as the YLT.
Many times it's helpful...as in this case.
Although it really wasn't necessary since the English is self-explanatory...

Yes, obviously.

Again, yes.

I'm really amazed at this line of questioning. It appears a belief that Jesus is not God. Which would be heretical, of course.

And I'm always glad for the opportunity to provide Scripture that clearly supports my beliefs and claims.

Regarding the FACT that Jesus is God:
Titus 1:3 - and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,

Titus 1:4 - To Titus, my true son in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

The connection here is obvious. "God our Savior" in v.3 is none other than "Christ Jesus our Savior" in v.4.

No less than 40 times in the NIV do we find the words "Son of God" in reference to Jesus Christ.
Sorry.
It's not obvious that Jesus is God.
It took theologians to confirm this.
As the Trinity.
As justification and sanctification.

"More philosophizing again, I see."
But not just someone's opinion being "explained". This link provides all that is involved in biblical exegesis:

Your claim here is totally baseless.
So our discussion should end.

Thank you for agreeing with me, that unless we can agree the use of language and
what words mean conversations cannot progress.

In an ironic twist, this is actually progress.

LOL
But your theology is very balanced and open minded.
...you listen...

Anyway, English is a difficult language to learn and to write.
care to translate hillbilly grogan ? over yonder ya reckon back in the day yuppers. direction just around the curve and past 2 hills 1st drive way on the left

so which one of you has the "proper" exegesis ????

I am sure you can read the bible just like me. Ask God and He will make it plain

Please don't be condescending with me. I asked for YOUR understanding. I know what the Bible both says and means. I am absolutely NOT SURE of how you're understanding it.

By the way, God is our teacher, not me, I can only share how it strikes me, but it
seems you need to hear from the Lord, God bless you.
Your condescension is offensive. Please knock it off. And I'm not asking for any teaching.

There seems to be a very serious failure to grasp the point I've clearly made.

Have you ever heard the sound of one hand clapping?
Yep. Once again, a very irrelevant statement, with no connection to the discussion.

If you know the answer, there is a possibility of progress, if not, God bless you, we cannot really
exchange things meaningfully.
Seems that condescension is a major technic when there is nothing to communicate, huh.

Too true. What I love about english is its breadth and flexibility.

There is something I noticed, it might seem subtle.
Words describe truth, they do not define it.

This is why how you describe the gospel does not change it. The better and more fully
you expound it the better, because the truth becomes clearer.

Those who would take us captive in arguments or banning different perspectives or arguments,
are scared, literally, of discovering the truth, and finding themselves outside. How we know we
are not bound, is by this very exploration and celebration in Christ and His wisdom.
