My Samsung Galaxy on5 phone holds about 8 GB. I do use an SD card to store stuff on, though it won't let me transfer anything other than pictures and stuff.
I got this phone for free, so. Unless I decide I'm willing to dig out the dough for an upgrade I'm stuck with this one.

Anyway, right now I keep getting a "running out of storage space" message at least once a day. When this happens it won't sync my emails, which are pretty important, or let me open the gallery. I have CCcleaner and use it a lot.
I am NOT willing to delete any more apps to make room, as I either use said apps a lot, or I need them (ex. Discord for keeping in contact with friends and helping out with projects I'm involved in).

Is there anything I can do?

On my phone I had to learn that deleting pictures doesn't delete them. Puts them in a deleted picture folder. I have to delete photos, open the deleted photos folder, select all those and do a delete all there.
Maybe I am underestimating you. I just got my first phone that could do things other than take pictures before this Christmas and still a novice.

Buy a higher capacity SD card. As long as your phone supports it they make SD cards that hold 64 gigs and more.

The SD card is about 10 GB I think, but had plenty of room on it. The problem is I can't transfer the stuff that's taking up the bulk of internal storage to the SD. My previous phone allowed me to move apps to the SD, this one won't

There aren't any apps you no longer use that you can get rid of to free up space?

Nope. The only ones I might be willing to part with are the preinstalled ones, but there's no options to remove those.

Well I might be willing to delete the steam app, actually. I don't use it that much. Steam's browser site isn't very mobile friendly, but I've made it work before

I know technology goes out of date fast, but hrm. Well, I can afford it if I save up for a month or so. The phone works great otherwise for the moment.

Who is your current provider? T-mobile, and some others allow you to finance the phone.

Have you been able to check to see how much space each app is currently using - why delete an app and its data that really isn't using much space (go to settings -> apps to see how much each is using). Also, going to settings -> internal storage will allow you to see where abouts all your space is being used. There are also some apps (if you have space) that will help you to analyze and identify possible areas for cleanup (eg. ES File Explorer).

* Sorry, I didn't originally realize/notice you were running things like CCleaner already. Perhaps my advice isn't that helpful afterall.
