I will admit that this video is has a big impact to different people. My purpose in showing it is to find out your opinion. Is this so called "Blessing" of God, or of the dark world of Satan. I want your honest opinion. not a place to insult each other.
.

I like the music.
I watched this video in the past year and have started threads about this and other things going on in this movement without much response.
The entire Apostolic Reformation is part of this.
It should be spoken of and talked about as I really do see it as an invasion into the truth of Christianity.
We need to respond with a Righteous Invasion Of Truth (R.I.O.T.).
We need to know the Word of God and stick to it.

Thank you my friend. You are another person in a small minority of people who I learn from. You have a biblical viewpoint that I feel that I can trust. I value your input very much....I'm not sure if I have invited you to join our little family in my "Bible Studies". If not, would you consider joining us? You don't have to commit to each day but the more you bring your knowledge, I would appreciate it. Thank you for who you are because I sense a spiritual man.

I watched all of it and this is a good reveal óf the trouble with this movement. My good friend, Jeff Mills is a member of the Charismatic movement and, officially, he is a Missionary of their Church in Guatemala and now wishes he had been saved in and was a missionary of the Baptist Church.

Jeff has repeatedly told me he wishes he had been saved in the Baptist Church and I've told him it matters not where he was saved, it matters what he teaches and as nearly as I can tell he is very fundamental in his teaching and should not worry. But I have seen Baptist Churches where this trash has crept in also, some of them large.

It looks like it is some kind of energy?I agree with you Rollo know the true literal word of God and stay the heck away from this stuff.

Ah yes, the "Toronto movement". I knew right away what this was about when he mentioned that in the video. And that snake lady is creepy. We may disagree on various things on this forum, but I am very assured that everyone here is in agreement that this is the most ridiculous display of demonic/mass hypnotism ever. There's no reason to even question whether it's valid or not. Rather it's something to laugh at (like those evangelists), or I should say it's laughable if it wasn't so pathetic.

Demonic is a very good word.

i remember this.. sometimes i wish i didn't

During Bentley's commissioning service, shortly after Wagner's decree, "Prophetess Stacey Campbell" (aka The Snake Lady) was called to the stage to join Wagner, Rick Joyner, and the other leaders of the three "apostolic streams."

TOB,
MS, in it's later stage can make you forget almost anything. By Sunday I will have forgotten ever watching that demoic display but I do not reccomend swimming in Agent Orange to get a good case of this.

My question would be how do people read the Bible, but then go away from it and think this is really the work of the Holy Spirit? We can read the Bible and learn of other people's experience, and yes, God wants us to have our own experiences with Him, however for our own experiences to look nothing like those before us, it's alarming so many would get caught up with this type of behavior.

Are people not satisfied with the peace that goes beyond all understanding that He pours on us, that they must add their own confusion and chaos into it?

Does anyone hear believe these people are possessed? Or is it a spirit that is roaming around these people?

Serious questions.

BTW, IMO - this is NOT at all the works of the God, the Creator of the universe, I have come to know.

You are so right my friend! Being a Baptist myself, many, especially the American Baptist Fellowship, has gone apostate. I think there are some down South that have held on to basic theology but most are just GONE! The Baptist Bible Fellowship has for the most part stayed what I call "fundamental".

Many of the people who enter that realm have never experienced that peace.

I have to admit to having to trust very much in God not to let myself get very disgusted with repulsive people trying to make this out to be anything other than God working in ways that have always shaken up the "Religious". Yes, as I have posted before, what started as pure and Godly was taken over by some pretty misguided people, but in my opinion it takes a fairly sick person to produce a video complete with spooky Hollywood Halloween background music and only some selected shots of a phenomenon which actually spanned years and say this was what it was all about. The Vineyard backed away from this movement when it became a stage show, totally disavowing the antics, and the man who produced that video knows this.

Those of you who have been to Vineyard churches know better, and that such nonsense doesn't go on. And again, in my opinion, the rest of you should be ashamed of yourselves for just jumping on the bandwagon.

Here is an interview with the originator of our denomination...... listen carefully to the final part, beginning at about 11:38.

I've been called many things in various Christian forums, this is the first time I've ever been called repulsive.

Thanks man. :thumbsup

Willie, I just reread the whole thread.
Outside of the video itself, no one has mentioned the Vineyard.
Any research will show that the Vineyard stepped away from this stuff.
I don't see any posts attacking the Vineyard.
It seems that you have a problem with it.
Why is that?

Hi folks. Outstanding comments so far. I really appreciate your involvement in the thread. When I first heard about the Toronto blessing, a good friend of mine got all excited about it and even went if I can remember correctly. It felt like I was getting a warning from the Spirit of God because I was meditating on that so called blessing, not really praying I guess. Anyway, I think my friend got caught up in it. I'll have to check with him to see.

Please correct me if I am mistaken, but is not that video the entire foundation of this thread?
