The problem got worse and by it acting up I was able to determine that the sock in the fuel tank was bad with the slightly bad gas, fuel pump replaced and will perform a injector ,throttle plate clean to solve the minor problem.
That "minor problem" would cost how much for a mechanic to do?
My Honda Odyssey has no fuel filter but a "sock" around the fuel pump, which can actually be accessed from inside the passenger compartment, through the floor. It has 215,000 miles on it. There's just no way that replacing the sock wouldn't extend the life of the fuel pump, but Honda dealers refuse ideas like preventative maintenance.

This truck ,ugh ,I cleaned the throttle plate as it had a low idle, fixed that and the hard start but not the odd problem of a sputter if you don't give it a lot of gas.likely needs to be flashed.
