the vaccination for that is chicken pox in a weakened state , soldiers going overseas get the small pox vaccination which per the briefing veracalla. uhm I was like, yeah I have that illnees this needle will have no effect on me. it didn't. they stuck me with that and I was like after a week, see no reaction. then they wanted to hit me 23 times with that needle.
 
What was the first movie Tommy Lee Jones played in? Hint: It was just a bit part, but he did have a couple of lines and was listed in the credits as Tom Lee Jones.

Correct. I remember watching Love Story on DVD a few years ago and thinking to myself: "Who was that?" and then rewinding to see it again. He was quite a bit younger then than in other movies I've seen with him, so it took me a while to recognize him. After I watched the movie, I looked it up and found out that it was his first picture.

If limiting to the US, I'm thinking the best answer would still be polio. However, the term "eliminated" is the technically correct one for a specific region. When it's eliminated worldwide, it is then said to be "eradicated".

When a disease stops circulating in a region, it’s considered eliminated in that region. Polio, for example, was eliminated in the United States by 1979 after widespread vaccination efforts.

Effective vaccines (which are designed to prevent catching of the disease) were developed in the early 1950s. There is no cure (effective treatment once you have it) for polio to date.

I actually have a friend with polio (about my age, in fact a little bit younger).

Are you saying that Jonas Salk never invented the polio vaccine?I had a step-sister die of polio too.The vaccine was not invented at the time.I have taken many sugar cubes as a child with the vaccine in it and also vaccinations.I don't understand your point.

A vaccine is not the same thing as a cure. A vaccine prevents catching the disease (if it works); a cure treats the disease (completely) after you already have the disease. We have a polio vaccine; we do not have a polio cure (at this time).

You guys are right.Their is only a vaccine no cure.But if you do not take the vaccine you will get polio.Maybe even if you take the vaccine you might still get a light case :shrug
