you mean the truth as you see it? all because i dont believe in Christians going through the full 7 years tribulation . suddenly you hold all truth? i dont think so ,
  • The resurrection of the dead in Christ: the dead in Christ will rise first...
  • The Rapture: Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them...
  • The destruction of the false messiah [antichrist]: destroy with the brightness of His coming.
no body has denied this.... i said Christians will not go through the full 7 years tribulation period

Ok if you agree that the resurrection, rapture, and destruction of the antichrist occur at His coming then how can the destruction of the antichrist take place before the tribulation?

I think Rev 11 is a sign that can't be mistaken. In those days get ready they are killed by the beast who is destroyed by Jesus at the end of the beats reign Rev 16:15 and the beast reign is only 42 months.

And about the saints who are alive on earth during that 42 months.

Rev 13:7
It was given power to wage war against God's holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.
Rev 13
All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.b
9Whoever has ears, let them hear.
10“If anyone is to go into captivity,
into captivity they will go.
If anyone is to be killedc with the sword,
with the sword they will be killed.”d
This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.

never said it did ..i only said pay real close attention ..I ME MYSELF do not see the church going through 7 years of tribulation /i also stated i was in between pre and mid trib i also stated i could be wrong and so could you. i have heard it taught several different ways . the more i watch this world pull farther way from God the more i lean toward mid trib.. in the end it really dont matter does it? it will happen the way and time God wants it not our time line the game hide and seek ready or not here i come

if your truly saved and have expectation of Christ return your lamp is trimmed . will we be as ready as we can be ? that is the big question

The "Rapture" teaching requires that Jesus comes TWO more times: once to take the church and once at the end of the age.
Scripture teaches that He will come ONE more time at the end of the age (AFTER the tribulation) at which time there will be:
1. The general resurrection
2. The dead in Christ rising to meet the Lord in the air before the believers who are still alive when He comes.
3. The judgment

In Hebrew apocalyptic literature, the number "7" is symbolic of "fullness, or "completeness".

So, IMHO, what has been popularized as "the Rapture" will happen at the end of the age after the tribulation.

It's OK if we don't agree. :) :thumbsup

What your belief on the duration of the tribulation?

yes sir it surely is and i will never say i am right on when he returns .i just want to be ready and i appreciate your reply

I don't know the answer Ezra.
we do but in reality how willing are we. the discussion often used at church if we really believed he could come back at any moment . would we be doing what we do? or would we be spending time getting our house in order .the battle in us flesh/spirit which one wins? the one we feed the most :eek2

As I said above; "In Hebrew apocalyptic literature, the number "7" is symbolic of "fullness, or "completeness"."
So the tribulation will last until it is finished.
ok, I was thinking that. I was asking as the early church obviously from what you posted a few months back didn't see the idea of a partial preterist position.

the idea of 7 in jewish thought is interesting. tied to a lot, the menorah, creation and the messiah Himself.

There is certainly nothing wrong with what is so plainly written in scripture about the coming of the Lord an the resurrection, rapture and destruction of the false messiah.

It all takes place at the coming of the Lord.

Resurrection
Rapture
Destruction of the antichrist

All on the last Day.

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44

Jhn 6:39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.

Jhn 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Jhn 6:54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

I think Dave Hunt does a good job of outlining the distinctions between a catching away of Christians before the Tribulation and His Glorious Appearing at the end.

I won't post it all up the whole article but for those that are interested it is a good read:-

I think Paul does a good job of teaching us what Jesus taught him about the resurrection and rapture, as well as the destruction of the false messiah, at His coming on the Day of the Lord.

The last Day.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-5:3

Will people really be saying "peace and safety" having been through the seals, trumpets, thunders (?) and bowl judgements?

...which begs the question - what is the "Day of the Lord" - the day the Lord returns of the time of Jacob's Trouble?
