The reason I came up with this topic is because I rented this movie from the library and my mother and I are watching it for movie night tomorrow night. :)

for the first time? I think madeline the books are close to 100 years old.

No, more like the hundredth lol. :lol Here's another good movie that I like as well that I'm going to watch tonight. :) Came out a couple years before Madeline. I still had my baby teeth back then. :eek2 I can't believe that it was that long ago!

Really?? Wow, that was a long time ago. Do you know when Matilda was written by any chance?
I looked it up. the article didn't mention that there was a few movies. I will ask my brother who also into that as I was. maybe they played the original one over and over. I remember the newer ones, I didn't like the remake as much.

I was talking about Matilda there not Madeline.

I remember I liked the cartoon, but don't remember a ton about it. I never saw the live action, but I did not like the newer cartoon movie.

My mother and I just watched the movie last night (Madeline) and I have just a few questions for all of the people who have actually seen it.

1. If Madeline is supposed to take place in France, why does only one person (Helen) have a French accent?

2. How could one chicken possibly feed all of those little girls?

3. How can all of those little girls be expected to draw a professional painting? Or at least have it be accurate when they do.

4. Why did all of the girls get in trouble and had to write lines for something that only Madeline did?

5. Finally, if Madeline had succeeded in running away and Aggie never said that she had gone, wouldn't Miss Clavel and the other girls realize that she was gone eventually?
