power corrupts people who are corruptible

I would agree with that...

There's that expression from Dante about power currupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely...

But

He never considered for a moment that power attracts the corruptible.

And where the difference between the two seems minor...the result is profound.

A humble man will take a position of power reluctantly and usually be more miserable for accepting such a position. Where as a prideful man will jump at a chance to attain more power... and subsequently will abuse the position in some fashion.

The people underneath will whine and complain no matter who is in charge.

lol - a whole bunch of true statements - how ridiculous and foolish is the heart of man -

the thing about being prideful is that it is usually people who feel little that try to pretend they are big wigs - and all they do is look silly

when i was a young christian i recognized that i had a serious problem with pride - i couldn't seem to get victory over it - i was also extremely jealous - i had enough of trying to get rid of these awful attitudes and finally said earnestly GOD KNOCK THE PRIDE OUT OF ME

well wouldn't you know it for the next few weeks i would try to walk through doors and somehow end up walking into walls in front of friends and strangers - i would be walking down streets and aisles in stores and all of a sudden fall flat on my butt in front of onlookers - no natural reason - it just kept happening - and it wasn't a nice dignified fall - nope - it was a real big floppy/arms flailing fall down

talk about embarrassing - well the pride sure did get knocked out of me - hard to be a big wig and do stuff like that - and i tried real hard to not walk into walls and fall down in front of people - but it just kept happening until i had no pride left

Remember that you were in good company... Gerald Ford had a huge problem with putting one foot in front of the other...not just once but twice in really awkward moments.

They still have work to do on security for electronic payments. Figure out a way to keep hackers away. I generally just pay cash for minute transactions, rather than risk a debit card to pay for a sandwich or petrol. Credit cards at least limit liability.

The new "Chip cards" are much more secure than the old system. There is a new security number issued during every purchase and unless the card is physically present to give up the security number no charge will be accepted.

But some places are still going with the old swipe system. (Unsecured)
It's eventually going to be phased out...

But in the meantime it's easier to have several checking accounts that function differently. One account to deposit income...one account to pay for things and one account for savings. That way in case your numbers get stolen you can survive waiting a month to get your money back. You can still survive the theft and buy gas and groceries.

It truly will become a cashless society all over the world which will also lead up to a NWO and many taking the mark of the beast. But for all who are in Christ and He in them will be the greatest test of faith that we not waver and fall from it.

One world banking system still isn't here nor is it going to be.

Besides...the currency that the whole world accepts is US dollars. It is the reserve currency.

Before WWII it was the British Stirling.
Now it's dollars.

Yen, marks, the British pound is back once again, Euros, pesos, and rubbles and rupees, Ria's, and shekels...most are backed by dollars.

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Revelation 13:17 KJV

Fiat money .complaint about defacto cash that has no metallic backing at the whims of a central bank, govt means the possessor really doesn't have anything.

‘You shall do no injustice in judgment, in measurement of length, weight, or volume. You shall have honest scales, honest weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin: I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt. Leviticus 19:35-36 NKJV

We are supposed to have honest money. Inflation is dishonest.

When a farmer has to pay more for seed, fertilizer, pesticides and fuel to operate his tractor...guess what...he has to sell his crops for more or go broke. (Not really... commodity pricing is outside of his control) but it gives you an approximate idea.

Fuel prices rise and fall. Standard price margins are normal. Nobody in competition sells at a high price just because they are greedy. They won't sell anything. Labor costs rising are the normal reason for inflation.

He was talking about the federal reserve system. The more we borrow ,the weaker the dollar.did electricity magically became more expensive to produce using 50s era cng, coal and nuke turbines on their own or was it in part from the borrowing of money ,via printing states do.

Save all you want, your dollar wont carry much if you are in your teens.cant buy coffee under s dollar here at any place

That can be an effect of a weaker dollar from watering down the currency. Sometimes it's necessary to prevent deflation. It allows a nation's goods affordable on the world market.

If you are interested, the Bank of International Settlements did a study on deflation.

BIS said:
On the other hand, deflation may actually boost output. Lower prices increase real incomes and wealth. And they may also make export goods more competitive.

IOW, mild deflation of goods and services brought on by technological improvement is good for ordinary people, and the economy.
