That's so....so....sixties.

Oh my! I'm 52 years old, but I must be resurrected!
clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
I often have a golden shawl covering my lap down to my feet to keep warm when I'm sitting in my rocking chair. And that girt about the paps? That's how I wear my pants now, all hiked up over my belly under my rib cage.

14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow;
What hair I do have left is indeed turning white like snow.

and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
That old age glaze over the eyes is kinda like a flame of fire in the eye, right?

15 And his feet like unto fine brass,
Someday's my feet feel as heavy as brass.

as if they burned in a furnace;
Sometimes poor circulation in my feet causes them to have a burning sensation.

and his voice as the sound of many waters.
I drool a lot now, too, when I talk.

By golly! I must be resurrected!

LOL.

It gets worse.

I'm holding down two jobs now (on my feet up to 14 hours a day) and NOW I'm gettin' gout in my left foot. Cofounded rassen frassen frasssen
Please keep me in your prayers!

Here's my picture just before leaving for the Church to get married. It doesn't include the white leggings I wore.

This was what the ships honor guard wore. The duty belt (as I recall) was a Marine issue with the Navy emblem put on it replacing the Marine emblem.

Scared lookin' aren't I? LOL

Actually my fiance was the scared / worried one up until the ceremony. I was cool calm and collected up until the ceremony. In the picture I was just exhausted from lack o' sleep (family came into the city on the train busy busy).

It was when I turned to see my beautiful bride walking down the aisle and the organist really laid into the wedding march (or so it seemed to me like a kick from behind) and I realized that I am totally responsible for another human life... wow...

She did the traditional step stop step stop march till I reached out and "escorted her the last few feet from my sudden adrenalin rush I suppose. The pastor who married us wore two sets of glasses (which we did not know about until that moment) and he used none of the vows we wrote and specifically requested. But we were hitched!

As we turned to march up the aisle, my beloved quietly asked "which hand does the ring belong on?" "The left hand" I said. She let loose of my hand and quickly stealthily switched the ring from the right hand (where I put it) to the left one. I thought I was going to die of embarrassment just knowing she knew... a few years later it became something to laugh about and remember as a unique moment in our 3 + decades marriage.
