Hello All-

My name is Michael and I am a devoted Christian. I thought I would write a little about myself before I start posting anything else. I am 25 yrs old and have two beautiful ladys in my life. One is my wonderful and awesome wife and the other is my 3 month old baby girl named Madison Alexus. I am a night auditor, movie writer, and minister. I write Chrsitian movies that have to deal with life in todays age. I put parables Jesus used in the movies and use it in a way that can reach people while not even knowing that Jesus is speaking to them. I have a great job at a hotel which gives me about 6 hours a day to research and write the movies. I am also a Minister part of the THC-Ministry. You might be concerned when you see the THC part of the minisrty. I do use cannabis as a tool, I have faith that God gave us every seed bearing plant to use. Alot of people use cannabis. I am a Minister to those people. Not everyone can be called to this work. There is alot of room to screw up in this field. For example the abuse of the plant it self. I have been guilty of that but the Lord has shown me my mistake and I ahev corrected it. The ministry that I am part of is not all Christian and I believe I am called to minister to tehm as well. Everything can be used as a tool to minister to the lost. A Music Minister or a Computer Ministry like this one helps alot of people, the same type people that either through lack of time or have been looked down at because they use a plant for the daily stresses to the deathly illnesses. I do not promote the use of cannabis but I minister to the people that do use it. This type of ministry has cause me to be persecuted by many other web sites so I feel I should be up front about what I do. I am not hear to argue with anyone about it's uses but will defend my ministry if need be. Some have told me I am not welcome because of my affiliation with the THC-Ministry. I understand the concern and will wait for the ok from the web master or who ever is in charge before I write any more. Again please believe me I am not hear to push cannabis on anyone I am hear to fellowship with other Christians and hear there opinion on things. I am in a search for the three things that can never be fully reached which they are: Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding. Thank you for taking the time to read and learn about me and what I do for the Lord.

Hi there sparrow. Thank you for greating me. I love the verse you use as your signiture. That is one of my favorite verses. I try my best to practice those fruits. How is your day/night going? I'ven been reading alot of what people have to say here. And I'm loving it. I'm like a kid in a toy store. So many things I want to get in on but only have my two cents to use. You'd be surprised what people can use to spread the gospel. I know a Pentecostal pastor who ministers to occultists and Pagans by using Tarot cards to tell the Gospel story (he also does free psalm-reading during Halloween week; the people are curious because they think it's going to be palm-reading), and he gets plenty of flak for it from other Christians.

So I take it you no longer use dope personally?

Uses

I do still use cannabis. But it is a very disciplines use. When meditating and or prayer. Also when others people that partake in it come over. We fellowship by talking and thanking God for all the things in our life. About your poison ivy comment. Are you allergic to it? Some people can walk through a poison ivy bush and itch for years while others like myself have walked through poison ivy bushes and never ever itched. Some people can use cannabis as a tool and some can't use it. Everyone is convicted of different things. You maybe able to watch celeberty uncensord while I feel convicted of it. Let God decide don't make jokes about it.

It wasn't a joke, I really haven't found any uses for poison ivy. I haven't found any uses for poison oak, nettles or sumac either.

Poison oak

A good purpose for poison oak is protecting the oak. You do like tree's don't you. If the poison oak wasn't there a preditor or a bug might have got on that tree and eaten it. With the poison oak it protects the tree from being eaten. About nettles the poison protects the plant from preditors so the use there is for the plant the good use is it's beautiful to look at just like the oak tree's. About sumac it's the same as poison oak and poison ivy just a different name. God made a use for every plant. It's up to you if you want to find out the use or just let it be. I also think it was a joke, but that's fine. Do you have any more plants you want to find out a use for?

Actually I was refering to the sumac tree which is non-poisonous. I really don't have any uses for it. I usually have to chop the tree down and spray with round-up to kill it.

I know that poison ivy, poison oak, and poison & non poison sumac all have a purpose for being here. God made them for a reason. I just was replying to what you said.....

I was just saying I don't know how we (mankind) can use them.

You are a minister of the gospel. How wonderful.
Do you have a congregation?

Are you a self proclaimed minister in that you are teaching the gospel from having your own God given gift? Or, have you gone to seminary or college for your studies and you have a degree in ministry? If so, what kind of degree have you obtained, if any?


I am just curious.

Q. Would you say getting high on weed is any different than getting high on wine?

I am a minister of the Gospel. I do have a congergation. I did not go to school. Jesus and the Bible are my teachers. I always say that school got in the way of my education. I might not have gone to college for a ministry degree but I do have experiance. My father is a Baptist Pastor. My who life was spent in the church. Being a pastors son is a very different life. When your friends get in trouble you get a sermon. My father was part of the Southern Baptist Mission Board and we had to go to every Southern Baptist Convintion I was blessed with a father like this because he was my teacher. I have been a missionary over to Africa and many places in the states. I may not have to papers to show people I have the knowledge but I do have the knowledge. About the wine. I have been drunk before and obviousely I have been high. When drunk you lose most of your functions. When high you still have all functions but you are a little bit slower. I do not promote using cannabis if you don't already but if you do then my church is for you. There is not smoking during the service but plenty before. Most of the people that come to my home church are people that have been looked down on for using the plant but are very strong christians. We see it as a plant that God has blessed us with. One that people have a false opinion about with out even knowing anything about it. Again I say I do not promote the use unless you already use it. I hope that answers all your questions. I would love to talk about the subject but not argue about it. So if this is the begining of an arguement about it I can not do so. God convicts everyone differently myself have felt no conviction of my use only my abuse. Which I corrected 3 years ago. Mike - how do you feel about marijuana being illegal and partaking in it? Just curious how you square this with God's command to obey the laws of the land:

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. Rom 13:1-3

Do you feel you are encouraging others to break the law? Do you feel the Holy Spirit has told you it's okay not to obey these laws? How do you deal with not causing someone with a more entrenched drug habit to 'stumble'?Not attacking you; just curious to understand your reasoning.

I was going to post my testimony about my experience with weed back in the early 70's and what made me decide to quit because it messed up my mind and I didn't want to harm the baby growing inside of me. and how I didn't want my child to be around a pot head mom. I didn't want to influence my children with the likes of any kind of drugs, not even booze.

But I think that would be a waste of time going into detail here.

No arguement. It's just my opinion. You have every right to do with your life what you will to do with it. that doesn't mean that just because it's okay with you that it is okay with God. But then, that's yours to find out also.

All I can say is..... time will reveal that weed is junk. A junkies junk that robs a person of healthy consciousness.


My life is much richer without it! And my mind is much more clear.

It was a drag walking around in such an altered illusioned state of mind.


Even now, 30 years later, when I see a person high on weed. I smirk and say, Look at their eyes.... they think that's normal? They think they are talking normally. but little do they know, they are all mumble jumbled in their speech. they are all mumble jumbled in their thinking, and they think they are talking normally?

God does use certain people for excellent examples of what not to do.


I learned my lesson with that junk, junkie drug. No matter how lmuch or how little you use it. It still has the same effect.

I agree that we should follow the laws of the land. I do that. I also show people that they can smoke the plant legally. Since the USA is a land of freedom of Religion I have the freedom to partake in something I see helps with my religion. The Religion of Jesus Church mandats the use of cannabis. I have a card a sancuary sign and many papers that will protect me and my congregation from presecution. So the answer to your question is I do not feel the Holy spirit gives me permission I follow the laws of the land and I do not promote the breaking of the law. With someone dealing with a hard drug habbit I say did God make that drug: meaning is it 100% plant like cannabis. When they say no because no other drug is I say who do you trust more God or the person that made that drug. Then they say God and I tell them to stop doing the other and only stick to what God has provided for us. Can I ask your opinion on this verse:

Colossians 2:20-23

Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules:"Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed
worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

I'm sorry that you have such a low opinion of people. You said you feel it would be a waiste of time to put up you story. I'm sorry you feel that way I am a strong follower of listening to people and obeying correction when needed. I'm sorry you didn't even give me a chance. At least other pot heads a nice enough to share with me. I'm also sorry that you doubt what I have said. I have said cannabis is not for everyone. I have been called to be a minister to pot heads. If I feel I am that kind of minister do you think I would not ask God if that is correct or not. I have given every aspect of my life over to God, I was blessed with him giving me a ministry I am very affective at. I am also sorry you feel that it robs people of there conscience. Considering I feel that my conscience is where God speaks to people I'm sorry you feel smoking cannabis takes you away from God. I'm glad that when you saw that it offected you badly or you had a lack of discipline on it you stoped your self. That is the best thing to do. I know that you will never see my point or understand my ministry so as I started in my very first post I'm not hear to argue about it I am hear to fellowship with other Christians. I'm sorry that you will most likey smirk at my post because you feel your better than me cause I smoke pot. I'm sorry if you can't understand what I write because of my so called mumbling or jumbling of my words. Maybe one day us pot heads will gain your confidence again and you'll see us a people and not just junkies. God bless you for your gentle teachings. 1 Timothy 4:3-5

They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and
nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

Did God create cannabis? While in a drag did you ever stop and give thanks for what he has given you? While still in that drag time did you ever ask God if it was ok to use? While still in that same drag did you ever look in the Bible for the answers to the questions you asked?

Just because you didn't do these things or God told you no doesn't mean he does the same thing to everyone else. Let God judge people for there actions and reason they do things. Don't just let your feeling rule what you do or think. Your feeling are to be under your control not vise versa.
