Arguing a matter, does not mean you attack the person, only what he or she believes comes into play.

If you believe something that is contrary to the Word, it will suffer under the Word, because the Word is also a Sword. If we protect our own doctrine , we too suffer with it. If we let go and learn from the Word, we live.

That IS the narrow road, because it comes against our flesh. It comes against OUR ways and the Word demands that we submit to it and not to our senses and our human logic.

To use human logic in our understanding of our walk with the Lord would make us no different from the Scribes and Pharisees of the time of Jesus. They could only see with the human eyes and only understand with their human logic. Jesus knew this and that is why He said on many occasion:

Mat 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. He obviously was not talking about human ears, because they all had those. He was saying that in order for us to know the truth, we have to hear with our spiritual ears and see with our spiritual eyes.Mat 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.
Mat 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

In the matter of healing, we too need to see with our spiritual eyes or we are no different from those who do not see.

1Pe 2:24 who his own self bare our sins in his body upon the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.

WERE, can only make sense to those who can see .

In the matter of the Newmanns, the world only sees with their own eyes and understand with their unrenewed mind, which cannot grasp the gospel. To them it is foolishness.
1Co 2:14 Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.

The legal system is operating exactly as God said they would. We cannot blame them, because they know not the Word, but we can support our own, when they suffer in the hands of those who are blind to the Word.

That is true, but the following...

Does not really matter how you want to ignore this scripture, it will always say the same thing.

I know it makes you uncomfortable, it is suppose to do that. Its called the narrow road:

.....is an attack, whether you care to admit it or not.

Good luck in trying to drum-up support for a couple of child-killers.

No probs. I'm confident that for every parent who signs that petition, there'll be another hundred who are repulsed by it.

Yes, they have found out that his matter too, will not be won in the flesh, but they also know that all things work out for the good of those who love God. And they do :)

Its hard to stand for what you believe in. Even your brothers and sisters come against you , when you do that. Try walking in faith and you will soon hear the discouraging words of Christians.

I am blessed to be part of a fellowship who want to walk in faith and DO walk in faith. We hear the voices, similar to those on this forum every day, but we are the ones who are seeing the miracles. Not just sometimes, but mostly every week. We have testimonies to the faithfulness of God , so I can truly say : Bless God, He is alive and a miracle working God , as He has always been.

I remember when I just started my walk and was really on fire for the Lord. An older Christian walked up to me and said:"Don't worry, it will soon wear off and you will be just like us" Thank God he warned me LOL Now its 30 years later and God has sovereignly kept me on fire. His work, not mine. God rescued me every time my light was dimming.

Faith is something that is tested by God . It is something that grows and is of more worth that gold:

1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe 1:4 unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1Pe 1:5 who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1Pe 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, ye have been put to grief in manifold trials,
1Pe 1:7 that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ:

The Newmanns have a trial at the moment, and many brothers and sisters are standing with them in prayer and support as we should. Even if they loose in this world, they win :) and that they know.

LOL. I'll remember to quote your posts if I ever feel the need to defend the actions of neglectful murderous people who profess Christ.

As long as you quote me in context you are welcome. :)

Thank you and Yes I will. I hate it when I'm quoted out-of-context and (although I may fail at times) I try my best to avoid doing this to others. :)

:rolling

Yep, we could argue this all day with you Cornelius...all day my friend.

Works4him has pointed out how you have taken scripture out of context and misapplied it...again. :naughty

Am I not to believe that God led me to my christian oncologist who prayed with me? :confused

If you know how many times people on forums use the "out of context" argument and then they just walk away as if that now solves anything and everybody must now submit because they "said so" LOL

Saying something is out of context must be followed by the correct Scriptures IN their context them.Somethings sadly lacking in both of you :naughty

I am happy that your oncologist prays for you. I said before, I am not condemning people who goes to doctors, (some in our fellowship still goes, we have no "law" that says you cannot) , but in the same breath, I will add that when somebody decides to trust God, we will support them too and not try and talk them out of their faith, by saying something like "its stupid to trust God. you should rather see a doctor" We allow them to grow and we have people that start out in faith and cannot keep it , so well, next time maybe. I have stood and failed too, but sometimes I have stood in faith and my faith kept long enough for my healing to come through. God does not fail, WE DO. Sometimes we simply just do not have the faith . That is why God tells us that we can pray for faith, because He knows we can be in need for it.

Some people indeed do have the faith not to see a doctor and some people do not. We do not condemn them, but faith comes through the knowledge of the Word. A lack of knowledge brings a lack of faith too. Luckily it has a "cure" :The true knowledge of the Word of God..

I'll say this one last time, then I'm out.

If someone decides not to take their sick child to the doctor for a known cure and the child dies as a result, the parents are guilty of murder. Plain and simple, just as these parents are.

Thanks, we all take note of what you believe. Thanks for your participation in this conversation.

Peace to you

I will also stand in agreement with you and your oncologist for your total healing .

Mat 18:19 Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven.

blessings
