LOL, Angel, Moderating is never a popularity contest, 'though many think it so. From when I did the deeds I recall it is a tiresome, endless and thankless chore, chore being the operative. If you are accepted pray, listen and pray and listen some more before accepting being accepted. You will be required to agree to disagree with the most disagreeable worms.
And if you accept their accepting you, remember, it is ministry.
When it is identified that the moderation staff is getting thin the admins will take a look around the site and some of the content different members post. They generally look for sound biblical beliefs and theology. They will then throw their name out to the other moderators for their opinion, and if all goes well they will eventually extend an invitation to the prospect.
Part of being a moderator is being sound in your biblical beliefs. Of course this does not mean you should be of the same denomination as the rest of the staff, but your core beliefs should not contradict the statement of faith of the site.
